  1. Fucking hope our's doesn't look like that - them zig-zaggy pointy things will look utterly stupid worn on.
  2. What's weird (or not), is that McClaren has been to St James' stacks of times this season, and he still thinks the likes of Parker and Dyer are worthy of a place in the squad.
  3. Make no mistake, i hope you're absolutely spot on, Crumpy. You've been right about similar things in the past if i recall correctly. He'll ask for a lot, but Viduka for Sibierski offers an infinitely better look to the attacking squad.
  4. Is this best debuts this season? The title asks for the best debut you've ever seen.
  5. Hardly, the Liverpool game wasn't his debut. Really?
  6. Didn't do a lot. By the time he was on, England were running out the game. We must have kept possession for about 20 minutes. Remember him heading it a couple of times.

Yeah, disagrees for a reason he can't think of and can't argue against it - so just 'laughs hysterically'.
  8. Agreed. Two good players who are not happy at their current teams due to run ins with the fans. Says who? That was back in November, i think. I'd be surprised if Parker was unhappy.
  9. Just flicked over to SSN and you're right. Anyway how crap are Wales? 2-2 at home against New Zealand. Shit. Thought that was rugby and never clicked onto it.
  10. Faye's first half season for us was half decent in all honesty. Boumsong vs Yeading, of what i can remember. Can never remember Fumaca. What was up with him? Bought-wrong-play thing or what?
  11. Dont get me wrong i rate Barry as a player BUT the description you gave Jenas would be more or less the same desription i would give Barry. Can Jenas play left-back or left-midfield? But you original description didnt say a word about versatility. TBH Jenas can also fill in at right back and right midfield. I'll never, ever, ever believe that. And besides, it's not even relevant, as Barry is natural in all three positions - whereas Jenas would merely be 'filling in', even if he could.
  12. Surprised that shite first team took you that long.
  13. I'd play this against Brazil: Robinson Carragher -- Ferdinand -- Terry -- Bridge Bentley -- Gerrard -- Carrick -- Downing Owen -- Crouch Bentley and Downing deserve their chances to see if they can push on, following good individual performances last night. They deserve an opportunity to see if they can build on it, and pick themselves for the qualifier. The rest of the side is probably who i'd pick anyway. King, Shorey, Cole and Smith would be the only four i'd be tempted to bring on. EDIT: Agree that the ommitance of Barry is plain stupid. Feel sorry for the fella; of what i saw last night, i thought he put in a decent shift.
  14. Because he has been shit and ineffective for England for ages. And because there's better, more appropriate players available, and cos it smacks of utter desperation. Bentley, Lennon and Beckham in the squad - three right wingers!

Wrong, but i agree with the rest of it. I won't be too fussed if our concentration on more pressing needs means not bringing in another right-back. It isn't really a problem area at the moment. Difference here, is that he is so cheap. Worth a punt for sure.
  16. You can't possibley guarantee such a stupid statement, unlike Pearce Big Al shone during his coaching training and has been touted as one of the finest to go through it. Shearer has a presence about him, knows his tactics and tbh I doubt it was a coincidence that we did better with him as Roeder's No2 than when Roeder was on his own. It does make me wonder sometimes why there's so many supposed Toon fans that (1) try and knock Shearer at every opportunity and (2) would love to see him fail. Sad really. That does raise a good point actually, some fans claim Pearson must be shit because the team didn't do very well under Roeder. Does that mean Shearer must be an excellent coach as the team did a fantastic job when he was in that role? IMO, it was no coincidence that Shola improved his game drastically towards the end of that season, when Shearer was behind the scenes and not alongside him.

Seriously? Never rated him. His positional awareness is God awful.

Young/Solano to choose from at right-back is something i'd be more than satisfied with.

For £2m, it's definitely worth it because he's decent enough. People were saying £6m at the start of the season...
  20. I was 6, only by the time Keegan actually left. Un/fortunately, i've only got one choice.

    Andy Carroll.

I am more then willing to give him a (nother) chance..but honestly if he deserves a chance then everyone else in our team does..even Carr, Babayaro, Luque .. Difference is, Shola's actually decent. Played 219 games, scored 46 goals, an average of .23 goal per game, 1 goal for every 4 games just screams decent.. While Luque is a tosser who dosn't deserve to wear the jersey and should fuck off for the first club that comes for him.. Decent argument. Like i've said before. Shola's been playing in Shearer's shadow for years and it was never going to happen for him while Big Al was about. He's did better whenever he led the line, and has done well since Shearer finished/back end of 05/06.
