A pub team. He is part of that team as well, like.

As is the case for the Conference League. Qualification is based entirely on merit, i.e. domestic cup wins and league placing. That's the total opposite of the likes of the Anglo-Italian Cup, which featured mostly bottom half, second division and (for a few years) semi-pro sides.
-
We signed a Champions League-level centre-midfielder, a goal-scoring winger and one of the brightest young defensive talents in the league. How is that a total fuck up unless we knew Tonali and Barnes weren't going to play?
-
As you can imagine, he didn't know any better so he essentially just sat there and took it, given the way that it was framed (as if the quote belonged to someone with more than five or six brain cells). Of course Howe wouldn't want to indirectly get into a quarrel with a supporter/s via a tabloid hack. Proper cunt's move from Bird.
-
Fucking state of Bird parroting () that braindead moron. There was more than one journo today trying to impress on Howe (knowing that he pays no attention to social media) that the wider fanbase is frothing with rage. Obviously there are some clueless, entitled arseholes like that dickhead above - but thankfully they're in the minority. Frustrating how much the press pack rely on the lunacy of Twitter as some barometer of feeling. Do some research.

It's nothing like the Intertoto Cup like. More Cup Winners Cup standard. Why do people keep saying this? The Intertoto Cup was a preliminary qualifier for the UEFA Cup contained entirely in pre-season.
-
The bloke is beyond the pale, like. Spent two years cryarsing about not being respected, whilst concurrently spending two years putting the minimum amount of effort into the cause, before being rewarded with an eye-watering financial windfall. Then when he's finally called out, he gets the lawyers on the blower. Because of course he has. A true grifter for the ages.
-
I take your point but imo it proves that Lamine Yamal is ready and absolutely nothing other than that.
-
What does any of this prove? That we shouldn't bother to take care with a young prospect? Daftest thing about this debate is that he's still featuring in every game. The difference in contributions between him and Longstaff are negligible anyway.
-
The difference between 17 and 18 is a lot greater than the difference between 27 and 28; it's a critical period of growth as a human let alone a footballer. It's not a good comparator anyway, seeing as Miley has played far more football this season than Mainoo - at absolutely ridiculous intensity during some stretches, too. Of course he was going to be rested as soon as it was possible for the manager to do so.
-
Baffling! There's an established precedent for not running promising academy players into the ground. It's not as if Miley is miles better than him, either, decent though he is.
-
Yeah; they avoid each other in the semis. Not seen Marseille but Benfica have been very unconvincing so can't see either of them standing in the way. Roma have been well and truly released post-Mourinho so that side of the draw is tough to call.
-
Sound. Hopefully that'll be that for the Hammers. Is there anyone good enough to stop Liverpool? Leverkusen and Milan presumably the only hopes?
-
I'll be frustrated about it forever. We did the fucking double over PSG. The lads should've been immortalised for those two results but it was taken away from us so unfairly.

Would be great to see Dortmund annihilate the odds and go all the way. Was really quite impressed with them and their manager when we faced them. There were fine margins and on another day(s) those were two draws, but tactically I thought they were absolutely spot on. Look forward to seeing what their boss can achieve with Bayern Munich in a couple years' time.

Love the man.
-
That's just pure conjecture though. There's no actual evidence that the ownership has a lack of interest in the club.
-
What's this view based on? There's been consistent investment since they arrived.
-
I don't think that's true of Spurs.
-
I've been an advocate of it but if Villa stroll to the trophy, after West Ham won it last year, it does devalue the competition somewhat. If it's just a case of the Premier League's entry winning it every year.
-
This from last April was the tipping point for me. Must've jizzed himself at the Evelyn Waugh reference.
-
He's up there among the smuggest of the smug isn't he?
-
Villa and West Ham absolutely twatting their opponents is a bit depressing in terms of the state of European football outside the Prem, so I'm glad Brighton got nowhere near a comeback. Europa League last eight looks pretty strong but Liverpool still the clear favourites. Villa should get to all the way to the medals display wearing just their slippers.
