Sandro Tonali - Spurs have £80m bid rejected by NUFC (SSN)
Yorkie replied to The Prophet's topic in Football
I'm talking specifically about a hypothetical scenario in which any punishment from the FA comes into force after his punishment from Italy is concluded, thereby extending the ban. How could there be any justification for that? Any retribution that the FA would be seeking via their own sanctions is already being discharged by the existing ones. It's basically double jeopardy. Also what @Ghandis Flip-Flop said. It's overzealous as it is, let alone with an extension. -
Howe said in the Arsenal presser yesterday that he was "a bit under the weather," and when asked directly if he would be fit for Arsenal said "we'll see how he is today."

Any additional ban on top of the fucking worldwide football ban (i.e. including any football for which the FA is the authority) would be absolutely risible. There could be no justification for that whatsoever; a ten-month suspension already more than pays any debts apparently owed to English football. -

If Emil Krafth can be out for 14 months before returning to the team in an unfavoured position, and fit like a glove, I'm sure wor Sandro will do fine after ten. -
Love to know what Gordon was saying when he was wagging his finger at him.

Worst moment of the night was watching that effort whistle past the post. He must be due an absolute worldie before the season's up. He strikes the ball so beautifully at times.

We'll have to, like. It's right among another fixture pile-up, just before Christmas.

We were great tonight, an example of unity and exceptional coaching, but fucking hell Man Utd really were horrific - utterly broken; I probably wouldn't make too many conclusions about our prospects in the next round based on tonight. Chelsea away is a fucking turd of a fixture. It's a really annoying draw, and a really fucking annoying journey right before we need to travel to Luton as well. Hopefully we've earned a bit of respite going into the FA Cup.

Spose. Guess I just thought from their point of view they'd feel like they've earned a glamour tie, that they're probably unlikely to get now. But aye, amazing if they get to the semis.

Sighhhhhh Pisser for Port Vale n'all.

There's few better sights in football than this bloke strutting around a pitch like he's playing against kids in his back garden. Fucking LOVE him.

Just another glorious night following Eddie Howe's NUFC. God it's something at the minute.

Fuck me. Absolute bullseye from Willock. Wow.

Incredibly enjoyable half and two brilliant and immensely satisfying goals. Would expect them to come out a different team in the second half but who knows with this basket case.

Pleased for Krafth! No complaints at all with the team. Shame Longstaff and Gordon couldn't get a rest but hopefully there'll be scope to withdraw the latter at least before 90 minutes.

The Sweeper is a great listen this week. Very vanilla bants replaced by half an hour of Daniel Storey talking about KI Klaksvik and the Faroes in general.

Conflicting emotions really. I love to see any of the ESL/so-called 'elite' teams get their comeuppance, but I also can't abide football clubs being unduly harmed by neglectful, disassociated business-people. I don't really get any satisfaction out of seeing Old Trafford apparently crumbling.

Tbf even the otherwise utterly bland White Hart Toiletseat has one end that's bigger than the other. Granted it would make less sense if you're deliberately building something brand new in a way that mimicks the conditions that have led to SJP's lack of continuity; it would be too obviously artificial. As the architect says, its lopsidedness has been largely dictated by what's been possible within its surroundings.
