Must say I'm not feeling hugely confident about this one. With Tonali, the injuries, a defeat in midweek and the fixture list ahead of us - feels like there's a little bit of a negative smell about the team atm. Thankfully I'm a know-nowt and Howe will get the lads ready. Get home with a draw and I think it's been a decent enough visit. Need something cos we'll get bugger all out of Arsenal next week.

Maupay there man

They're hilarious, Chelsea. Bajillions spent and they're absolutely shite.
-
I need to stop watching StuntPegg like.

Aye I can see Ritchie playing at Old Trafford, like. Against Man City the midfield was Miley, Tonali and Hall and only one of them will be available - not that I can see Hall playing there again as he looked absolutely lost in that game.
-
Dunno why they cut you off at the end, like. Editing skills leave a fair bit to be desired.

Your segment from 46 mins.

Weirdly sassy about something that has clearly had a massively galvanising effect on the support and the team, and meanwhile done absolute wonders for the club's image when there's been so much scrutiny due to the ownership. If WF walked away it would be a colossal loss.

Sandro Tonali - Spurs have £80m bid rejected by NUFC (SSN)
Yorkie replied to The Prophet's topic in Football
Even "Newcastle has been sportswashed" demonstrates a complete misunderstanding of what sportswashing is. Wouldn't even wipe me arse with that rag. -
Even the aways? Agree that the home is a bit poxy.

Enjoyed The Kit Breakdown's vid; it's a really good channel and I tend to agree with Craig on just about everything; stuff like too many shirts being released and too much stuff that's just a copy of something prior. Will admit I fast-forwarded through a good chunk of him getting his hair cut, like. Nice to hear from Watson and Clarky but really it was just multiple versions of the same conversation. Nice to see wor @Heron n'all. Spoilers re designs in case anyone wants to watch it first.

I was there for their home game against LASK and aye; just a few thousand Ultras doing a relentless beat, led by a megaphone and a drum.

sorry, bit insensitive

I don't think 'tactical masterclass' is a million miles away tbh. It generally takes such a thing to beat us at St James' Park. That doesn't mean we weren't good and it wasn't close, though.

Thought I'd check my current record at SJP after the talk of Beren's misfortune... since Man City beat us 2-0 at the tail end of 2011/12, my record is currently: W: 16 D: 6 L: 0 GF: 39 GA: 6 I knew I was on a canny run but fucking hell. Four of those six draws have been since the takeover as well.

Enjoyed Howe's patronising dismissal of him during the Dortmund post-match, after his conjecture about the Nmecha/Tonali non-transfer/transfer. That said, if the pressers are anything to go by, Howe seems to like him.

Sandro Tonali - Spurs have £80m bid rejected by NUFC (SSN)

If you're insinuating that the owners are going to interfere with training ground business then that would be a very bad sign, because that is categorically Howe's domain. Thankfully it won't be. If anything it'll be the transfer committee who face greater scrutiny or inspection by the majority owners than Tonali. Even then I think - if there's going to be some form of action or pressure from the top decision-makers - it'll be geared towards pursuing Milan. They've absolutely had our trousers down, clearly, which I can't see the Chairman glumly accepting. -
Tactically they were excellent. That boss of theirs could be one to watch. Painfully smug in his post match interview on TNT n'all so he'll probably go far.

Final thought for the night; it was fun at first but I really can't fucked with McCoist's shtick these days. All that over-enthusiasm, the I tell ya whats, If I'm being totally honest with yous, I tell ya something, Fletch. Tedious. Unpopular opinion I'm sure but Jenas is miles better. He's generally one of the best contributors across the broadcasters.

Wor Flags: visit worflags.org.uk/donate to support future displays
Yorkie replied to wor jackie's topic in Football
If it was as bad as people are saying then I'm not surprised. Christ knows how many cumulative hours went into that display, but for everyone else not to try and match the effort... Weird one. PSG, and the first home game back, was obviously never gonna be topped or even matched I guess. -
Maxi we miss you Never contributed a thing against a low block.
-
Unlike PSG, Dortmund did their homework and knew that Trippier makes us tick moreso than any other player. He never had more than a few feet of space to work in and his usual passing channels were always obstructed by multiple defenders. That doesn't excuse the sketchy set piece delivery but I can't really fault him too much during open play. Dortmund came and did a job on us, and I don't think there was anything more critical to their gameplan being executed than how effectively they dealt with Tripps.

Serious injury according to Howe. Dislocated shoulder.

Adore the bloke but that was a criminal lack of effort on the goal. Pure ball watching.
