I'd love a FPL season where I'm not spending the entire season just chasing a respectable position. Replaced De Bruyne with Diaz so that's something I suppose. Wor lass' first go this year. Wrought a total of zero points from her three players that played so far today... She replaced De Bruyne with Son so howay, Sonny. I would like her to experience a moment of joy before she inevitably gives up.

This is a new problem invented by the utter shitshow that is VAR, btw. 100% of the trillions of ticketed football matches since the dawn of time haven't featured explanations from referees to crowd. But now we have VAR suddenly it's a necessary aspiration. Can't wait for atmospheres to be killed stone dead as spectators hang on several minutes of debate between the ref and some blokes in a room hundreds of miles away; as if hearing those tedious deliberations live is somehow any more beneficial than hearing it later that evening when you catch up on Twitter/YouTube/MOTD/newspaper. Honestly, the world of officiating is the absolute pits atm.

I've fallen out of love with with general matchday fanbase over the Ashley years, but those moments - and the general fervour around cup final day - took me back to being a very young lad watching NUFC videos... gawping at the fans and being so in love that I wished I was from Newcastle, and lied to my friends that I was, just to feel closer to it. I get there was maybe one or two atmosphere issues but from the TV, it was incredible to see, emotional, and evoked a sense of pride I'd rarely felt since 2007.

If there was a problem then there's absolutely no chance he would've played against Villa. Every player looked fitter than their opposite number. Unrelated, I love that he and Tonali are already buddies (see avatar). Forget sometimes what a class act this guy is. A truly exceptional player that adores the club. That's what it's all about as a fan.

Totally. Loved episode 2 and loved episode 1. It's a TV show that relentlessly says Newcastle United is class. I'm very okay with that after being told (and believing) that the club's a piece of shit for many years. Staveley is impressive as fuck anyway. If she wants to make love to the camera for a bit she can for me; she got rid of Mike Ashley for us.
