  1. God those were the days, man. And fwiw, King Kev, mine recently went through its 200th wash and it still looks belter.
  2. It's unbelievably unlucky from MacAllister's point of view imo. Both players are going into that incident at a fast pace with exactly the same action and exactly the same intention; only he's a micro-second later. Ultimately he is late and so a caution is reasonable (you can tell by the look on his face that he knows it's an offence) but a red is ridiculously harsh.
  3. First time I've seen it, absolutely pathetic decision. Laughable that the ref gave it in the first place, laughable that VAR didn't prescribe a second look. It's very frustrating because I don't believe the ref confidently brandishes a red card there without the assumption that he's got VARs double-checking his decisions. The problem is, the 'clear an obvious' directive prevents re-refereeing; his decision isn't 'wrong enough' and suddenly everyone's stuck with the initial incorrect call. The whole system is utterly flawed. Hope the appeal results in an extended suspension for the lad.

Most signings are delayed by a couple of weeks to give the NUFCTV lads a chance to come up with their interview questions iirc.
  5. Fair play to him giving them time to secure a replacement before the window closes. Wrexham's GD mad so far; 13-13 - by a distance both the most goals scored and conceded. Gillingham, top, have scored four. (conceding 0 lyke) See that Paul Mullin due back in weeks rather than months so that will aid their goalscoring troubles.
  6. Probably important to note that the "they" here is her family, in case anyone thought it was the Spanish FA.
  7. Wall-to-wall acceptance that the better team won = 'denial', apparently.
  8. There was quite an amusing moment towards the end of the first half when they very visibly had all eleven men in their half and behind the ball. Hallmarks of that infamous Rafa game which made us become an apparently all-out-defence team overnight. (Not really, but still, a fun comparison).
  9. Hilarious that Caicedo was responsible for such a brain fart in his first game. What a finish that was from Antonio; absolutely lethal. Pleased that the Hammers are off the mark, don't wanna see Moyesy shafted so soon after their fantastic cup win and they've been in a difficult position this summer, likely to be made harder with this Paqueta craic.
  10. Now imagine this interminable crap with the ref and VAR room's discussion being blasted through the SJP speakers.
  11. Don't be precious, man. It's hardly a slagging. Claiming there's a media agenda against them, on the other hand... Only joking, Maineblue. Though it does prove that, if yous can claim an agenda, basically everyone can.
  12. Yeah, seemed to fit like a glove. What's it like as a City fan these days when there's nowt else left to win or achieve? Do you ever go into matches feeling nervous or any sense of jeopardy? Could you really give a shit if you don't win the title this year, after three on the bounce? Not being a dick, just genuinely curious.
  13. He was sensational last season up to the World Cup, where he was playing as the six, so no, it isn't stupid to compare now with his 2022 form.
  14. Sounds a bit extravagant in these days where every logo/badge must be severely dumbed down. (Obviously I agree)
