  4. Tea lady? Not sure if Coleman would want to be a number 2 I don't know either but I would certainly take it. From Colemans point of view it's more experience as well. well his agent came out and Coleman wont be a no 2. Wonder if Rob Lee or Beardo might be back in some coaching capacity
  5. they`ll interview all the charvers obviously
  6. Tea lady? Not sure if Coleman would want to be a number 2

  11. Jurgen Klinsmann claims he received no offers from any English clubs before Bayern Munich moved for his services. The former Germany international has agreed a deal to take charge of Bayern next season with Ottmar Hitzfeld set to step down in the summer. Klinsmann had been linked with the Chelsea job before the appointment of Avram Grant, while most recently Liverpool were credited with an interest in the former Tottenham striker's services. When asked why he had chosen Bayern over the Premier League, Klinsmann replied: "Because I did not have any offers from England." "Bayern is the number one club in this country and I had a lot of other options, but this was by far the best offer I received."
  12. from the chron ============================ WHEN Graeme Souness was put out of his misery exactly two years ago I was convinced Sam Allardyce wasn’t the man for the Newcastle United job. I was right. However, when Glenn Roeder departed in May I felt Big Sam was just the man to sort United out. I was wrong. For I believe Newcastle United was too big for the man who came within a whisker of managing England. I lost count of the number times the words “this ain’t Bolton Wanderers” came up in conversations about Allardyce’s situation at St James’s Park. He knew the whole world was watching whether United would play the “ugly football” BBC’s Alan Green accused Bolton of doing. And what did we get? Dull, boring, football. But most of all I found Allardyce’s negativity hard to stomach. Right to the end. When I interviewed him at the Britannia Stadium after Sunday’s lucky draw with Stoke City in the FA Cup and brought up the subject of today’s match at Manchester United his response left me wondering whether to bother making the journey to Old Trafford. Allardyce inherited some good players at United. He made some bad signings. He managed to upset some of those good players. And was badly let down by one who has hardly had a good game in a black-and-white shirt. Joey Barton. Allardyce only had eight months in one of the hottest seats in football. Looking back on his time at St James’s Park his aim always seemed to be to win ugly. Yet all he succeeded in doing was to lose ugly.
  13. Didnt even move his parents out of the council house in 20 years the bastard
  14. our former player Ray Hudson and he`s a geordie to boot!!! Ray Hudson is a maniac.. my favorite commentator by far he comes out with some funny quotes, check out wikipedia for the full list "He's always lively, fizzier than an Alka-Seltzer in a Newcastle Brown Ale" talking about Lionel Messi (Sep 26 '07) in a game between Barcelona and Zaragoza. "He's like a tyrannosaurus rex with hemorrhoids" talking about Italy's Gattuso "He'll be happy as a dog with two tails to get a point." "We had just strung like 17 passes together, beautiful silky soccer, and I turn around and see a guy yawning in the crowd. I wanted to jump over the fence and head-butt him." "This team was as dangerous as my grandmother knitting a quilt." If Bestie were still around, he'd have Ronaldinho opening beer bottles with those teeth of his. Oh, come on, he didn't get the (FIFA World Player of the Year) award on his looks!" "The England fans were singing 'God Save the Queen,' and I was shouting, 'God save the rest of us if that's what we're going to have to watch throughout this tournament.' " "Cannavaro is running around like a three-legged giraffe out there, but it's effective." "I've seen more fat on a toothpick!' -about Bojan

    Chimbonda

apologies if its a repeat post Chief was still in transfer talks Jan 10 2008 by Alan Oliver, Evening Chronicle SAM ALLARDYCE was involved in transfer activity right up to the moment he was sacked at St James’s Park. For Allardyce was looking at trying to bring Spurs’ former Wigan right-back Pascal Chimbonda to the club after the French international had fallen out with new White Hart Lane boss Juande Ramos. And the Chronicle can reveal that former United boss Glenn Roeder tried to buy keeper Steve Harper yesterday and take him to Carrow Road in a permanent move. But Roeder got a firm “no” from Allardyce – just like had a couple of days earlier when he asked his successor if he could take Shola Ameobi on loan. There will be no complaints from United supporters on the decision to retain Harper, but on the other hand there are questions marks against some of Allardyce’s signings for United – and the ones who got away. For The Chronicle can reveal in the summer when Allardyce was given the £6m he received from West Ham for Kieron Dyer, he was given the choice of spending it on Alan Smith or Elano. It’s history now that Allardyce opted for Smith – and history that the Brazilian has been a massive hit for Sven-Goran Eriksson at Manchester City. But to be fair to Allardyce, while Roy Keane was handed an incredible £35m down the road at Sunderland and did not seem to spend it wisely, Allardyce was only allowed a net of £9m by Mike Ashley. And by the time Allardyce’s scouts identified Rangers and Scotland right-back Alan Hutton as someone who would be a good signing in the summer, the United boss had run out of money. But now Allardyce has run out of time as well. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2008/01/10/chief-was-still-in-transfer-talks-72703-20334495/

  19. they might be signing Almiron from Juve too, most of their squad it seems are made up of Argies, hardly any italians in their first team bar materazzi
  20. i think people are overrating the lad on here, he aint THAT good. And a creative midfielder should be the priority ,not another battler
  21. Boumsong to Fulham accordimg to french media
  22. he did fine at Chelsea when he had his chances and the Chelsea fans were sad to see him ago I seem to remember. If there was a small chance that we could bring him on loan I would take it (although I`m sure other clubs would be ahead of us in the queue)
