He's lived in Germany now for 9 years, so I don't see how a work permit can be a problem. I don't think he applied for a German passport though
-
I think Diego Placente (Argentina international formerly with Bayer Leverkusen,River Plate) would be a good signing (currently out of contract with Celta Vigo).... Rangers, Olympiakos are interested in signing him.........
-
Would rather have someone proven over someone with 'potential' tbh........We've bought loads of players with potential over the years and few have worked out well

comments from his time with Arse "My girlfriend and my mother are frightened about not seeing the sun in England. They miss being in Madrid." Baptista, known as 'The Beast', has not been impressed by some of Arsenal's rivals. "The teams from the north of England are terrible," Baptista said. "When we play them I have counted their centre-backs booting up to 30 long balls upfield per game. "Over here they value a corner kick more than a fancy flick. I am lucky to be with Arsenal, as they are a team that likes to play proper football." http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/a/arsenal/6570853.stm

Alexis Sanchez - anyone seen this kid?
LooneyToonArmy replied to WarrenBartonCentrePartin's topic in Football
might get one under the 'exceptional talent' rule as Man U did with Anderson -
then lose half the defence for the african cup of nations in 2008, not to mention oba
-
I would like to have seen us put in a sneaky bid for Maxwell of Inter Milan.........but it looks like he might become a regular now for them after Grosso was sold to Lyon
-
. . "I never make predictions, and I never will." Paul Gascoigne "I couldn't settle in Italy. It was like living in a foreign country." Ian Rush "I faxed a transfer request to the club at the beginning of the week, but let me state that I don't want to leave Leicester." Stan Collymore

Juve left back (Chiellini) has been linked with a move to the EPL today (Liverpool).....might be worth a try Would be great to see Heinze here but I doubt it will happen
-
Looks like he's off to Juve.......doubt he will be able to displace Boum though
-
Bellamy or Barton? ...........that saying, if we had bid for Bellas, he would not have turned us down IMO

Silva/Arsenal - Could be good or bad news re: Martins
LooneyToonArmy replied to Colos Short and Curlies's topic in Football
fk that's a high transfer fee. If I were Arsenal I would have gone for Tevez though -
Geremi gets work permit, Officially signs - .cock
LooneyToonArmy replied to bodson's topic in Football
happy with this signing, he can cover in central midfield when needed also -
just waiting for anal's inevitable interview with Pavel Srnicek about our new signing
-
another reply from a Czech football forum: I would say he's an average defender. Partnered with another good defender and he'll do fine. He can also play in midfield.
-
So were there any overly positive replies? yep Rozenhal is a very talented and regular defender, he gets back the ball cleanly and made very few faults, he boosts very well. It is a successful player throughout the season.
-
I asked on some PSG/French football forums about how good/bad Rozenhal is, as we know little about him. this is one of the replies.....bit worried he might not be up to the physical side of the EPL Technical, smart and good to "cut the line" off the ball. Totally crap to man to man marking , and on freekicks. A good defender for tactical league. Not for physical league.
-
I'd do a deal for Alves if they really wanted him... Alves wouldnt be able to move to the EPL unless he has an EU passport. He's not a regular Brazilian international so wouldnt qualify for the work permit
-
what about Andreas Hinkel? German international formerly of Stuttgart last season.....currently out of favour with Sevilla (well he does have Daniel Alves ahead of him )
-
Helder was one of the few good defenders that we've had over the years and it was a pity we couldn't sign him permanently after his loan spell
-
Facundo Bonvin Bjarni Gudjonsson Darren Jackson James Coppinger Stephen Glass
-
I think Nicky Butt is too quiet to be a captain....by all accounts (both at Man Ure and here) he's the quietest member of the squad and I'd prefer somebody who is a shouter that will bollox the rest of the team if they're not pulling their weight
