Got to say, this Mulumbu chatter reeks of BS. When was the last time a genuine target of ours was allowed to talk about our interest so openly? It just doesn't fit with our current way of doing business. If he has ever been a target, I'd imagine we'd tell him to shut his trap / sling his hook...
He's shown that he's a Premier League player, imho. The market's calming down in terms of fees, but is he really worth less than half of Cameron Jerome or Bobby Zamora, less than one-tenth of Darren Bent, for example? No way.
So ahead of the transfer window, you would have our manager declare to the media that we have no squad depth and are desperate for players, thus upping the price of our transfer targets?
Fucking love Jonas' Twitter - "vamos newcastle come on newcastle" every time!
Have to say, it's as if the departure of Enrique has been a catalyst for both an increase in defensive effort/responsibility (which was superb anyway) and offensive urgency/profligacy.
Absolutely ridiculous how they try to stack the deck with those pitch dimensions - hadn't realised until comparing vs the standardised Europa League lines.
