  1. I rate Ronaldo, but Messi can do everything he does and better and infact is a better dribbler. For me Messi has the possibility (a couple of world cups on) to be as good as Maradona.

    Ronaldo vs Henry

You see if Man Utd wasn't dominating a game I'd doubt if Ronaldo would be as able to turn a match as Henry did for Arsenal.
  3. Too hairy. Nowt wrong with a bit of hairyness on a man, Park Life. Makes me nervous, I prefer my Monkey magic on telly thanks.
  4. I was only a bairn when he'd retired and only got to see fleeting appearances unfortunately. How old are you 12?

    Ronaldo vs Henry

That's why he is often average in top European games.
  6. Surprised you've missed out Van Basten Jonny....

Ronaldo hasn't done it in Europe, Messi and Kaka have been matchwinners in big European games. There is another level and for me Ronaldo hasn't done it with any consistancy at the that level. Players like him and Gerrard continually look average in the very big matches more often than not.

Gerraway. What does he have to do man? Do you think he's the greatest player you've seen in your lifetime? This isn't taking anything away from him as I think he's class, but I seriously don't know how people can say he's the best in their lifetime. Unless they're 8 years old or something. Which Nut isn't btw. Nowhere near as good as some of the recent greats. I remember Zidane running rings around Keane and co in the Champs League, they couldnt get close to him all night, that sort of skill and abilty in every touch is on another planet. Ronaldo here on the other hand, is playing for the domestic champions in the Premiership against a mid table side with average to above average players, and even then hes lost the ball on numerous occassions with poor attempts to beat a man. Good end product and a cheeky goal that should have been easily saved to be fair, but lets not get carried away - hes a very good player, in extremely good form domestically in terms of end product, and is benefitting greatly from being in a team that is firing on all cylinders with numerous players capable of pulling the strings and carrying him when hes playing poorly. That is about the strength of it. I think he'd struggle relatively speaking in Serie A, whereas if you put Kaka or Messi in the Man U side they would deliver comparably to Ronaldo.

I don't think it's as good. Certainly not as easy due to more of an emphasis being placed on physicality and fitness today. Ronaldinho's a great, I will say that much. Despite not being at the high standards he had set for himself. I also believe Messi will go down as a World Great as well. Let me be perfectly clear. Ronaldo wouldn't get away with that shit in Serie A. I think both Kaka and Messi are better allround players and better big game players. That's not an opinion its a FACT.

I made J Cole captain today cause I thought Villa would give them a hard game.
  11. This is the minimum. IMO we'll need to get 2/3 squad players as well. We also need to consider that 2/3 first team players will leave.
  12. Really depends who these 3/4 players are really.
  13. It looks like Everton may only lose one game in the run in. Nice.

    Reyes a Target

I think he'd be alright. I like the idea.
  15. Why does it matter that Chelsea's the team that's complaining? If it's wrong, it's wrong; it shouldn't matter which team is on the wrong end of the stick. There could be a case that moving this game has hampered their late surge for the title. Which in financial terms is actually a lot of cash. If I was RA I'd get the lawyers to take a look. Seriously.
  16. They should have a go at taking the PL to court that could be fun.
  17. From their site. "Chelsea Football Club is extremely disappointed with the announcement today regarding the Everton fixture. We believe the decision to hold the match on Thursday April 17 undermines the sporting integrity of the competition by giving our rivals for the Premier League title an unnecessary competitive advantage at a critical time of the season, with more recovery time from their previous match and preparation time for their next fixture when we have to play two games during the same period." They are kind of saying the PL are favouring others....
  18. Oh yes because we've done a fantabulous job of making him feel wanted the last year and a half haven't we? He's played games, he's been paid his wages, he's had successive managers wax lyrical about his talent and he's had heaps of adulation from fans, so how exactly has he not been made to feel wanted/loved? Duff's arrival? Is that what this is all about? Fuck me. Competition is what football is all about. Sorry but I have no sympathy for him or any player apparently "hard done by". I tell you who has been hard done by or pissed about by this club, the likes of James Milner, you don't hear about him wanting to leave or buckling under the pressure of competition for a place though. Or how about Ameobi, a player vilified on here by many who has done more at this club than N'Zogbia has thus far. Your time will come said numerous successive managers who then went and spent a shit load on strikers who to a man each haven't exactly done anything here, with a number of them abject wastes of money or wages like Owen. A player who due to the club's transfer policy and ineptness of managers had to play on despite needing a hip op or two, because the squad was so fucking thin. Did he moan? Did he moan when he was in the side one week, out the other, did he moan when Roeder went and bought Martins which was to Shola what Duff was to N'Zogbia? Did he fuck. He may have lacked N'Zogbia's talent but his attitude was first-class and while that isn't enough on it's own without the ability, it is players like him who I feel sorry for and not the likes of N'Zogbia who had had it good here from the off. As for not blaming him if he does want out, show some fucking pride in your club man. I will. Oh and that poor attitude if he does indeed have one? That's one of the reasons why we're fighting a relegation battle and why among man7 other things a number of managers have found it very hard to work with these players or have been let down badly by them. If he wants out he can fuck right off. Ultimately I think it's naive to think a player will put a club before his career. Just doesn't happen these days. What career Parky? If this was Arsenal or Man Utd and he wanted out purely for footballing reasons based on those kind of offers fair enough, I'd respect that although he'd still get my "fuck him" response. But he has next to no chance of moving to one of those type of clubs and if he actually showed some faith in the club that gave him his big break and the manager that would dearly love to keep him (going off his quotes like) then he might have himself a career to speak of here. I agree with most of that. But a lot of these younger players aren't really getting the right guidance. I'm sure KK will sit him down and talk things through in a very honest manner cause that is his way. But yes ideally if he stuck with us next season and season after than of course he will be at a transformed football club. This is what he needs to believe.

  20. Oh yes because we've done a fantabulous job of making him feel wanted the last year and a half haven't we? I don't blame him for wanting out, not for one second. And yeah, I can understand the reasoning behind people wanting him gone because of his poor attitude, as thick a viewpoint as I find it to be. Word.
  21. I think you need to open your mind a little more. Enrique is as/more effective than Beye in the attacking sense but not going forward. By that i mean for everytime Beye beats their left back Enrique plays a neat little pass into the feet of Viduka or over the top for Martins. This contributes as much to an attack as Beye bombing down the right. Don't get me wrong i'd like to see Enrique get himself into similar positions but it's not the be all and end all to our football. I like how he always has his head up and is looking to play the ball forward and keep possession going, instead of just passing it backwards/sideways all of the time. He's quite the dribbler when he gets going.
