Van Gaal WAS a great manager, like Trapattoni was in his day....Maybe slightly past his best, but still better than most in this league. Plays attractive football.

Let us leave behind our doubts, let us walk in the light...Let us see past the dissapointments - for they too have served us, to realise the nature of success. For the new road to the new world is this very day at a beginning. I am expecting a clear out of the whole backroom staff (bar one), those of no heart for our club will be sold, new structures and codes of behaviour and acceptable performance will be laid down. Let us be positive and not bicker about missed oppurtunities and the uncertainty of new appointment...I am totally confident we are at our Rubicon and the man we have sought will take us across those waters. I expect we will spend heavy this summer, I expect funds have been promised and they will be delivered. I expect a whole new backline.
