What's the consensus? Reading the comments he sounds a bit tasty.
  4. They signed arguably the best Premiership striker from the last few seasons at his peak for a fraction of what he would have commanded if he wasn't going into the last year of his contract and unwilling to extend. He played a large part in them winning the league last season, and if they can get him fit there's every chance he will fire them into the Champions League this season. He's still only 30, so he could continue to be their best player for a couple of years yet. I can only presume you are taking the piss, otherwise I worry for your sanity if you think paying 24 million for a player like him represents bad business in this day and age. 2 CL trophies in 26 years is pitiful.
  5. Him and fat Rooney are costing 20m a year in wages and bonuses.
  6. SAF let Pogba go for free...Probably one of the finest midfield prospects in euro football. Paid 25m for RVP who was nearly 30. Problems have been building up for a while...Then drop Gollum into the minefield.
  7. It begins. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/jan/08/manchester-united-players-manager-david-moyes-credentials-champions-league
  8. They need 5 world class/international type players within the next year or so...
  9. This tirade against refs is classless from Moyes and reeks of desperation. He's cooked.

Were we even interested? Not at the £8m price tag they were asking for last summer. It will be interesting to see what Swansea have agreed to pay. He's out of contract in the summer so you'd imagine it's decreased since then. Their paper seems to suggest a fee of circa £4m, mad kernts will go bankrupt if they don't watch it especially with that Europa League draining resources. £4m? We might have been interested at about half that. Seems like another Victor Moses situation. Promising player available at a knockdown price, but still considered too high for us. That said, the likes of Everton and Liverpool haven't shown much interest either, so we aren't the only ones who seem to think it's not a great deal. Scored a lot of goals for a winger/forward.
  11. Different type of players...Comparison is childish.
  12. Reckon 2 defeats from the sack.
  13. I would imagine Chevrolet and others have CL competition clauses in those sponsorship contracts.
  14. No way will he pass the medical.
  15. It was insane changing up so much of the background stuff and like you say Gill.
  16. Isn't debt 800m or summink? If they start to fade, money starts going out the window fast. Financing debt is 70m a year or thereabouts.
  17. You need/or will need soon a world class CB, you need a new midfield, you need fullbacks, you need at least one world class forward to take the pressure of Rooney and RVP and or one might leave...I still think the keeper is dodgy, the manager is out of his depth...As I said 5th will be a miracle. Everton, Liverpool and one out of the pack will come for 4th...There aren't any quick fixes right now for you and it will take a couple of season to get back to challenging for big trophies again...And that if all goes to plan.
  18. Can't see how he will survive if they lose 9/10 home games.
  19. Sincerely hope they don't.
  20. It's over. 5th will be a miracle. Rooney and Rvp are on the slide...Both too much footy from young ages and especially Rooney who will always have a weight problem and was playing competitive footy at 17. These kinds of players fade faster, the toll on his body will start to show over the next couple of seasons - more injuries and so on... Gonna have to spend like 200m to ever win the league again. Think they will change manager in the summer and a big name will have to come in and buy a new team.
