Siss and Goof have become a bit overrated on here. Both little more than workhorses. Both quality players IMO. One is not a wide player, and both are being asked to work hard because of the system and are doing well at it. Gouff is clearly energetic, had good technique and is intelligent, and Sissoko was one of the most sought-after young midfielders in Europe before he came here. I know all about Siss mate and he's not a right winger. Started life as a DM and then moved up into midfield. Gets around, good athleticism and has been good for us....But can't pass much, loses control of the ball often, runs anywhere, poor dribble and poor creativity....Just saying he shouldn't be playing where Hatem should be if we want to score more goals or create more chances.

Under Pardew everyone is a defender. Siss and Goof have the creative ability of blind mice. Both in the side cause they are physical and run u[p and down a lot. Sissoko has been run into the ground by Pardew. What makes the whole thing worse is when he makes Cabaye play deep where he stutters. Remy goals have dried up cause he doesn't get many clear chances - one or two a game. Goof has done much better than expected and all credit to him but too often he plays it sideways or back and when he runs forward rarely finds a lethal pass - Siss is pretty much the same but a better all round player. Hatem has to play. For the few minutes we've seen him he has better comparitive stats than Nasri playing for the best team in the league and surrounded by world class players.

His kind of magic isn't on tap, it can't be turned on and off, it can't be called up at will, some days it won't be with him and at these times he will cut a forlorn figure. Like all gifted players they play and see another game and supporters note their passing and their names are etched on school rulers and like comets they shine brightly and then are gone.
