One thing I find funny is how so many are saying that Taylor should've started ahead of Cacapa because of strength and pace, but looking in the pre match thread, I only saw one who said that he should be in the XI.
-
So am I. Feel that Smith is a really good option to partner both Oba and Owen
-
Congratulations!
-
He's obviously meaning for our game against them, doesn't he?
-
Can't really decide on my preffered XI. Smith has done well upfront, and I wouldn't mind seeing him there on Saturday. However, I don't want to drop Martins or Owen. Got another problem with the central midfield. Wouldn't mind seeing Barton/Emre, but it might be a bit too attacking, especially as Pompey is a good team. So, I'd probably prefer either Geremi/Emre or Geremi/Barton for this one. Unless, we go for the unspeakable 4-3-3 with Geremi or Butt as holding midfielder, and Barton and Emre in front of him with Smith, Owen and Oba upfront. That, however, leaves out or player of the season so far, N'Zogbia, so I probably wouldn't want that either...

Didn't see the game, so don't know if we played well, but the 4-1 win over Sunderland was with white shorts

Top class manager, and I'll miss him in the PL.

Bad news...Especially if they get Ramos. Hate Spurs as much as anyone, and I can't understand how anyone would see this as great news. Fair enough, he's done very well with them, but the way things were going, they haven't looked like turning things around.

Shay Given's gone one better!! From the Journal this morning... The 31-year-old Brazilian scored his first goal for the Magpies against Spurs on Monday night, but Given is more impressed with his ability at the other end of the pitch. He said: Ive been trying to learn Spanish to help with the communication side of things, but I tried to speak to Caçapa in Spanish and had forgotten they speak Portuguese in Brazil. He just gave me a blank look. It obviously hasnt been very successful so far but Im working on it. ;D http://www.journallive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2007/10/25/given-we-will-entertain-you-61634-20004754/ They showed a clip of an interview with Shay the other night on Look North asking if he knew how to pronounce Cacapa, he said something along the lines of "You're asking an Irishman? I don't know, Gazpacho or something, he sounds like a salad."

I enjoyed having my images fuck the whole thread up

When has Zoggy not been in a mood?
-
Most fauls: Barton (2)

None from this game, got a few from the West Ham game though
-
Carr and Babayaro are supposedly fit to play. Had no idea about that, tbh
-
Broke up the play time and time again Aye, he was great today, motm for me. But I'm like The Janitor, I don't like him as he can be so frustrating.
-
Aye, the whole team looked so happy when Martins and Cacapa scored! Great to see!!
-
Was so close to put a wee bet on 3-1, but didn't want to jinx us, so I threw away the tally and left the bookies. Wouldn't have won me much, so it was definitely worth not jinxing us
-
Feel sorry for the Roz. He's done nowt wrong since he came here, but with these two in front of him, he'll really struggle to get a game.
-
Didn't do much, tbf. Set up the attack that lead to the third goal (turned and passed to Jose, who got space on the wing)
-
Beye, but it wasn't a straight race, Lennon had the jump on him. He first skinned Barton, then Beye.
