What makes you think that they will have a that either? We'll beat them. Because their crowd will give it to them. True it only happens once every other year (promotion, relegation etc) but they do get rather excited when they play us at home. I'm quite fine with Smith as our 4th choice striker. Is £6m too much for a 4th choice striker? Yes, it is, however, we got backup for two other positions as well, meaning that it's not too bad a price. There have been times this season I've really enjoyed watching Smith play. Granted, he is no one who'll produce any brilliance, but I like his attitude and his link up play can be quite good

This is about where i am with him. He's got till the end of the season, and i hope he pulls it round, but ATM, this all just feels like another false dawn. till the end of the season? now, that's generous I want improvements this season, nothing over the top. If he can't deliver that and there is a better manager available, I'll consider changing.

If he wants to go, we should at least try to get him. Can't see him coming here, but it'd be madness not to even try

Martins doesn't seem to work as a supersub though. Reckon he needs more time to make an impact. Wouldn't mind that 4-3-3 that Darth Toon posted, only swap Milner for Zoggy.

Agree that we won't see that XI. I'm fine with another central midfield (it'll probably be Smith and Barton), but I do think Martins should start though.
