Probably Jormany... Got some quality players in Lahm, Schweinstager and Podolski amongst others, and they played some great football in the WC.
-
Aye, canny post ohmelads, spot on as always!
-
Good news. I think the most important quality of the next manager is that he's a winner and wont listen to the press, something id be afraid that most british managers might do. We really need a jose-type manager, someone who is very confident and knows how he wants the team to play
-
Benitez is a great shout actually, would be very, very happy with him. Would liverpool let him go and would he want it though?
-
Very good post tmonkey!
-
typical allardyce, plays me on the right when he knows i'm all left foot I'd be more worried about having GeJon behind you. mick, htl and ne5 through the centre aswell. It'll be Dyer and Bowyer all over again
-
Like Chez, the reason I'm bothered is because the tournament itself will be boring. I'm not actually that bothered about England doing well, I mean, of course I want England to do well, but it's just not THAT important to me.
-
I'd rather have Given/Harper than Robinson/Carsson
-
I'd be happy with Capello, probably my second choice after José.
-
Plus he'd have to put English players in the team. Beat me to it
-
A bit disappointed, aye, but not too bad. McClaren's gone now, so at least we got something out of it. I just hope that Sweden fucks up now, can't stand them tbh. Everyone got a chip on their shoulder about England, especially after Sven and it's becomming tedious having to explain to these stupid fuckers that just because mcclaren is a retard (sorry, that's harsh on the those that actually are retarded) doesn't make Sven's reigm any better.
-
And rightly so. The English media is a cancer to the national team. Mind you, Sven was sacked at the right time. I was backing him for a long time, but even with hindsight, I would've still have had him sacked after WC.
-
I don't think he'd go, reckon he's quite commited to us. I'd love for a competent manager to take care of England though, preferably Jose, Lippi or Capello

England 2 - 3 Croatia = FAIL and will not win the World Cup!1!!11

If this does not mean that the ginger cunt is out of the door, THEN i'll be fucking angry. If he gets sacked, this loss was for a greater good and I'm not too concerned -
Pretty sure we won't be paying for Barton if he's jailed like.

Beckham will need a target man to hoof it to though. Put Crouch in there instead of the left striker and you got it! -
Yes, I do, tbh. He got 17 last season in shittier team and it being his first season here. I know it was only like 11 in the prem or something like that, but I could see him adding four more goals to that too had he been playing regularly
-
What does Benjani's celebration mean, btw? Don't get it..
-
We are so fucked in January if he's not back by then...
-
Do you reckon he'll play for England on Wednesday and then be out til the WC-qualifiers?
-
While he should've been banned, the decission from FA is correct. They should not be re-reffere the games, at least not the way the rules are at the moment. Doesn't make the challange any better though
-
Considering who is playing in that position for england atm, I'd still say he could
-
Maybe the bullet hit him on it's way back...?
-
He simply looks disinterested IMO That's absolute rubbish and based on nothing but his reputation. Owen is one of the hardest working players in our team. He was basically the only one still going at the end against Portsmouth, Reading and running everywhere today. Poor against Portsmouth, worse than Martins against Reading, and was he fuck running everywhere today. He just doesn't look like getting us out of the shit at the minute, and his contribution is so reliant on other people its becoming embarrassing. He might've been poor, but he works his arse off though. His attitude on the pitch is spot on and he's not a bad shout for captain IMO. However, loads of truth has been said in this thread, how he needs to take his chances (had Martins missed the same chances, people would be screaming that he's hit & miss) and that our formation and general play is not suited to him.
-
Another captain thread - should we give it to someone else?
