Him and C. Ronaldo are equally good IMO. Both got the same drive when they get the ball. I've said it all along and will continue to say it. He's better than Cristiano, without a shadow of doubt in my mind. If Messi's development continues it is frightening what he can achieve, Cristiano at the same age was not in the same league as Messi. Messi at this age is the best player I've seen since Ronaldo at 19 as well. Messi's better at 20 than Ronaldo was at 20, so yes if he continues to develop, he might get better. At the moment though, I can't choose between the two of them.

H8 them. I'm going over for the West Ham game, and just saw that it'd been moved.

What do you think of the 1.15 kick offs on sundays?
-
Exactly, they slated Bramble last season when Taylor was as much the culprit too. Not really... Remember Bramble getting lots of praise for a while on here last season. When he came back from injury, he had a 5-10 games where he was brilliant and got credit for it.

Then let's sign Bridge and loan him to Chelsea for a year!
-
Tbf, you can't say that it'd be non-ambitious staying at Chelsea. That goes for any player really. IF Bridge really wanted first XI football more than anything, he'd go to us, if he's happy being at the bench and picking up silverware, he stays.

Good news, less competition for us to televised on Saturdays
-
I don't think he dislikes being as much as everyone is saying. He has clearly stated to Sam that he wants to be here next season and I can't see him leaving in January either.
-
TBF, they are £800m in the red, and the ticket prices are going up 30% a season, and the mugs have to buy tickets for all cup games whether they can attend or not. And Anderson and Nani have done fuck all between them in the U21s/Copa. And Darren Fletcher is still there. [/bitter blue] mackems.gif Your "hate the reds" rants are always great

fucking hell...I'm a tad pissed, so can't be arsed reading the article. Any fee mentioned? Anyway, can't see anyone stopping them in the league now, at best we'll see a race for 2nd and direct qualification for CL between Chelsea and Liverpool
-
When are we going to see the "Martins/Owen to Atletico Madrid"-rumors then?
-
Seems like a mix between angry teenagers and old twisted/bitter losers are a requirement to stay on that forum then, eh... Where's Barton??
-
Change Edgar (As much LB as Barton is DM, tbh) to Duff/Babayaro/Carr and that's mine. I would never consider playing Duff at left-back again. I went to the Charlton away game and he was awful there. Babayaro could come good not sure. Carr looks even worse at LB. Edgar however, has played well at LB, against Bolton and Man Utd need I remind you of the outstanding performance he put in against United? Knee-jerks and over-reactions IMHO. Yes, he was good in both games, but he lacked positional sense and is not good enough on the ball for a LB, especially not if we're playing 4-3-3

Yes. Yes, you can.

The summer gets even better! - Pattison hands in transfer request
Nobody replied to Leazes1986's topic in Football
Some people would say that 6 starts and 9 sub appearances spread over a couple of seasons was not enough to judge a player on. Some people would argue that he hadn't been given a decent run of games with which to gain consistency and prove himself. Some people might even go as far as to complain that despite only poor to average performances, his lack of games was reason to believe he had been unfairly treat by a manager who discriminated against him. I guess you're not one of those people. mackems.gif -

As a LW, where he had to cover last season, he was appalling, down the middle though, he was half-decent. Not nearly good enough, but not nearly as bad as he's made out to be -
I thought I was the only one!

Fuking hell, they better hope he's good, its that higher than Henry? Good news, MArtins is staying! Just Juve to worry about now. I'm not really worried. The rumour came out over Trezeguet wanting to leave as he fell out with the board over the departure of DD, but he's now signed a new deal. Even so, out of the Country is out of mind for me. Same. Would've hated to see him going to Arsenal. I'd still be very disapointed if he went to Juve, but it would be no where near as bad as Arse. Also, isn't it possible that it has to be a club with European competition, same as with Owen? -
