  1. Van Persies for me, absolute stunner that volley was.
  2. Tbf, I think most of us aren't serious when we say that sort of things. We know that we've had a recent history of terrible buys, and we should know that even though money is available, we shouldn't spend for the sake of it.
  3. We're loaded now, remember? Edit: 30 seconds too late

    Solano for me.
  5. If anything, we saved his career. He should be grateful.
  6. Absolutely hilarious, more hilarious than Scholes to Sunderland and more unbelievable. The fact it's half empty for UEFA Cup games is because the UEFA Cup is shit, most of the games are like playing League One sides, and we've played over 80 games in Europe in the last 10 years. Shite like West Ham and Spurs haven't even played 20. "And we are going to a 60,000 stadium " and.......... This is a club who have averaged over 30,000 TWICE in their history, opposed to a club who have set world record average gates, and in the last 7 seasons alone have never been lower than the 11th best supported club in the world, as far as average gates on concerned. You really couldn't make that up. I won't go on about attendances, but that great promotion season of 92/93, West Ham had a really good season too, they were only 8 points worse off than ourselves, their average gate? 15,000 I rest my case cor blimey, jellied pie, nice gaff, apples and pears cockney wanks. The biggest and most accurate insult I can bestow on them is they're a very very poor mans Tottenham, and truly that is an insult. If you asked your average foreigner who Newcastle United are and I've seen this first hand in countries like Thailand, "yay Newcastle Araan Sheela!" if you asked them who West Ham were they'd think you were on about a part of a pig. Deluded cockney cunts. Hand on heart I wouldn't put them in the top 15 clubs in this country, I don't think many would. Top post!
  7. 3 years, I reckon. Basing that on absolutely nothing.
  8. Why even speculate on what that ITK says? It's always bollocks anyway!
  9. Can I please have a link of this so I can send it to my Liverpool-supporting mate?

I hate him, he played for the scum of the earth. He's never played for the mackems, mate. I mean, at least he's not Hysén. Talk about scum. From Gothenburg, played in DIF and is now a mackem. Makes me sick!

To be fair though, he dominated the pitch against Real Madrid as a teenager and he was always too good for the Swedish league

Like I said, good touch, good vision, good passing and always tries hard. However, doesn't score enough (although he did score a few good goals). Edit: And he is absolutely nothing like N'Zogbia. Zoggy is a winger, Boateng a creative/attacking midfielder. He's way more athletic and combative than Emre would you agree? Not really, but I think Emre is very combative though.

As I support AIK, where he played in Sweden, I promise you that I've seen most of him. I was at his very first game, away to Halmstad, where he dominated the pitch for the first 30 minutes. He then got a terrible knock on his back and was out for quite a while. When he returned some weeks later, he didn't look like himself. His confident took a few knocks when he didn't meet the standard that was expected from him. He was left out of the team a lot and put in a transfer request when we got knocked down. He went for a few trials, but nobody wanted him. He then put his head down for our new coach, Rikard Norling, and was immense in the Swedish counterpart to The Championship (standard of course is terrible, but you can only beat what's in front of you). We were promoted much thanks to him and Norling's coaching. Last season he was absolutely incredible. Doing whatever he wanted on the pitch and won us a fair few games. Still, this is against poor opposition, but he proved himself enough to be in Ghana for the WC. Like I said before, he was real cult-icon here in AIK, people brought Ghana-flags to games and he loved the crowd back, he wore AIK-sweatbands in the WC and against the friendly against Brazil that they played a few months ago. As for what type of player he is, he is very similar to Emre, imo. He works hard for the team but it's his skill and vision that are his main attributes. Like Emre, he doesn't score a lot of goals nor sets them up, to be honest, but he is still very creative and has great vision. He played his best when playing alongside Tjernström in the middle, who is a defensive/battling midfielder, much like Parker here in his first season. In my opinion, Boateng would be superb back-up for Emre and who knows, perhaps with the right coaching and in a good team, he could become a regular. But for £1m I don't think we could do much better if we want to have a creative midfielder

Id be over the moon if we signed boa! He was a cult-hero in aik and a lead our midfield last season, before he was sold. Go for him, definately worth a shot for 1m!!
  16. The money we may or may not have doesn't come into it. If free transfers are good enough for Chelsea they're good enough for us. Ben Haim is better than what we already have. Get him in. Who knows if we'll be able to buy a better defender. They may not be available. Aye, thats the problem, he's free and signing him won't cost us much + it will bring a decent defender in, but if we can get better then why not get them.. We can either play it safe and take Ben Haim, who is far better then what we used to have, or take a gamble..and try to bring in players who are even better then him..but thats being too optimstic because i don't think better players will want to come here in the first place. I rather this season we build a squad. When we finally have a squad where we've got more than one man to choose from on each position. Then next season we can start looking for talents and gambles.
