Btw, how come some players don't get a work permit? Know nowt about the politics that goes on when it comes to work permits, but it seems fairly strange that someone who'd come in and earn shitloads (thus bringing in massive taxes) don't get a permit?

After a bit of Dennis Wise scouting, I say PLEASE SIGN HIM! Seemed to be more of a winger at Heerenveen and moved to play more as a striker for Ajax (though the stats don't agree with that), going from the video I watched. Still, can't see it happening at all.

Tiote Cabaye Ben Arfa Sulejmani Jonas/Marveux/Obertan Ba

I think we've had a pretty decent summer when it comes to transfers. Obviously not as good as it should have been, but Cabaye and Ba especially should be two terrific signings. Cabaye looks just like the sort of player that I love to watch, and Ba's record is very good and is a decent replacement for Carroll. The problem is that we needed a striker in January as well, before selling Carroll. As for Pardew, I quite like him. He's doing the best job he can, and I echo what people have said that we'd be proper fucked if he were to resign.

Wow. Calling Barton a defensive midfielder, that's just on another level of cluelessness (that's not really a word, is it? ).

What's he like on FIFA?

Admittedly, I haven't seen much of either him or Barnetta, but I think I'd rather have the latter tbh. Would still be reasonably happy with Obertan, mind.

We weren't that bad. Not saying good, but not horrible. Some terrible defending and goalkeeping for their goals though. Cabaye looked good, plays it very simple but effective. Vuckic with another goal and good performance.
