He might have waited to see if any other offers came his way, which I see nothing wrong with. He's out of contract and has only been here for 6 months, I wouldn't expect him to show us any loyalty. I do think he always wanted to stay though, as I think he's quite happy living in the North East. Like others have said, I'd be happy for him to stay, as long as we use him as a striker. Would think that him and Carroll would make a decent partnership in the Championship.

Its really weird. When i was away from the site i had so much patience in seeing what will happen and see how it all pans out, now am back i expect and update every three bloody minutes and i expect it to be breaking news at least once an hour. Funny thing is, when I'm at work, where we usually got SSN on, unless there's a game, I don't ever expect anything to happen. When I'm on here though, I'm the same as you; expecting some interesting thread title changes all the time! Can't say it's surprising that nothing's happened though. I'm assuming that Ashley's got some interested parties and that he's letting Shearer know who they are and they are probably in talks as well.

I would have fancied Man U to beat Barca if I'm entirely truthful. Barca were the better team by a mile today, but if they played each other 10 times, I'd say that they'd win about 5 times each. What does this prove? That the CL final means fuck all when it comes to which league is the best.
