I just stuck about £5 on Gomez too on the same odds. Put another £10 on Klose, so either of them will do me

It's mostly just someone with his head far up his own arse who claims that we haven't got a chance of beating the likes of Everton and Blackburn to any "big" signings. He lives in France half the time, so he knows.
-
He'll sign for Spurs.

Most of us/those (I'm undecided ) that want to get rid of Emre wants to get rid cause he's a liability when he's always injured, not because he's not good enough. He's quite clearly one of our better midfielders when fit, but that hasn't been the case too often, especially not this season.

Agree. I hope that's how we go about all of our targets. Fuck the media, they know fuck all anyway. Nothing beats the excitement of hearing that we've signed a player that the media didn't have a clue that we were even interested in.

Why not??? if we think within our realm, we will never improve. Football is about the world and not about our city alone, wonder why the likes of Pool, Man U and even Spurs and believe it or not Leeds are more popular than us. It upsets me when i go to places like China and Singapore and they are not very familiar with the Newcastle name. They only know it as Shearer's club who is basically not very good. Anyway, its a chain reaction, if we are really no good and stay as over-rans, our standing be it Scotland or France will dwindle and that is negative as far as i am concerned. In a way, its a measurement of our success and progress as a football team. weird as wherever i've been in europe newcastle is at least as popular as spurs, more than everton and leeds don't even get on the radar. you are on the wind up. I am talking about Asia. As for France, our name is dwindling.....yes Spurs and Newcastle are just as well known perhaps but most will think Spurs as a better club with bigger potential. Like in France, people start to think St Entienne as a club who is going in the right direction while PSG a bigger name, but going southwards. Most rising stars in France will want to go play for growing clubs and not one like us which is going south in their views unless paid loads. no argument there but after allardyce and hopefully with backing we will be seen as a club going in the right direction. i still say you are on the wind up. Good we agreed to disagree. If u think i am on the wind up, fine, i respect your view. My view still stays...these so-called rising stars will not come to us unless paid loads. I will apologize to all with glee and happiness and admit my supposed negative view if we manage to sign one of them. otherwise, my view stays. How do you reckon we got the likes of Martins, Emre and Beye who were all rated in their country if going to Everton or Spurs is so much better? It's been done before and it will be done again. Looks like we might miss out on Turan, if it's true that Everton has a bid in, but then it wouldn't be because the player himself rather went there. Oh, and you do know that you're not the only one who is not based in England who posts here right? I'll tell you that in Sweden (this may or may not be completely insignificant), Newcastle are rated way higher than Everton, Blackburn, Portsmouth, Villa and City (before Sven took over). We're probably only beaten by Spurs when it comes to the top-supported team outside of the big 4 here, and I see no reason why it wouldn't be the same in Turkey.

I quite like him, tbh, but won't be too sad to see him leave either. Let's hope this will be sorted quick and that we get a good replacement in.
-
Who?? If you are talking about Beye or Cacapa, like i mentioned in the summer, these are players on the decline and fans cannot wait to see the back of them. Beye has however pleased me and proved me wrong. I am just feedbacking from France. Bollocks about Beye. Know a lad from Marsielle, he was absolutely gutted that he left, as was pretty much any Marsielle-fan with half a bran.

Good idea, signing now.
-
Aye, why was the title changed? Nice with a bit of Russian to mix things up.

No self respecting Newcastle fan would allow a kid to follow another club and I can't begin to get my head around somebody buying a kid another clubs shirt. Yet I've been getting shit for supporting Newcastle on this very forum... Agree with you, btw, and agree with Decky. It's shit the way these plastic fuckers are the "winners". Still, like someone said, once (if) we win something, it'll be fucking massive!
-
Nope, as long as you don't stop your run altogether its allowed. He did stop though... Had it gone in, it should've been ruled against with him having to take the pen again. This is Ronaldo though, so it would've probably counted anyway.
-
Feel sorry for him, tbh. The one player on the pitch who I did not want to miss.
-
Will be an interesting game, not an entertaining one, but interesting. Both teams will probably be very cautious, will take something special for either team to score. Got a feeling Chelsea will win it, though it can really go any way.

Think it's on BET365 TV, so if you sign up there you should be able to watch it. Watching it through some other way, Setanta Sports seems to be showing it

Would love Spain to win it, and I can see it happening too. Most important though is that Sweden goes out in the group-stages.
-
Shame, though he had it coming. We should stick with him though, he's an asset when fit and he should be out within a few months.
-
Why aren't we in talks with every shit League 2 player around so Spurs can sign them all? And when they're skint we go for our real targets, this is getting ridiculous.
-
Haven't seen much of him, but know that he's very highly rated. Can't see him coming here, unfortunately
-
Can't see Pompey losing this one. Which is why I'll bet on Cardiff
-
Easily worth 20m. I disagree, my friend. Honestly? He has that special thing about him which makes him worth 20m straight away in my book. Scores a good amount of goals too. Look, i think he's a bloody good player....but worth 5m more than Alan Shearer?! Not in imo. Are you taking the piss here? I'm not going to take a footballing lesson or advice from someone who used to rate Alan Smith. Cheers. You should.

Since Martin Jol is claiming it's bullshit, I'll actually believe this one
