  1. I expect something to develop before Saturday.
  2. Mark Hughes, experienced at both international and club level, this is why i don't believe Shearer would get it, though Keegan could.
  3. Are you sure? his record at England and Citeh is s****. Maybe he was lucky as SJP? Redknapps first spell at Pompey is the only time he has had a better win percentage than Kevin Keegans "s****" Manchester City Kevin Keegan Man City - Win percentage - 43.75% Harry Redknapp West Ham - Win percentage - 37.00% Portsmouth - Win percentage - 46.55% Southamption - Win percentage - 26.53% Portsmouth - Win percentage - 40.48% That's eerie, I was going to post the same thing. His record at Man City was better than Allardyces at Bolton also. Man City fizzled out because the board didn't have the financial muscle to build on Keegan's success. And as for finished, ffs, he's younger than Redknapp and about three years older than Big Sam. Never go back? I'm sure Porto would tell Mourinho to f*** off and Aberdeen would snub Ferguson. I can't believe your even putting Keegan in that bracket
  4. What more do you want him to do? He's won the UEFA Cup and Champions League with Porto on a limited budget, I don't care if it's easier to win tournaments than leagues, it was a remarkable effort, he then went to Chelsea with a huge amount of money at his disposal of course, he was up against Arsenal and Manchester United who had top sides as it is and won the league twice in consecutive years along with the Carling Cup (Twice) and the F.A Cup. I don't think he could have done any better.
  5. Money helps. We've got money. Funny how no-one ever says that about Mourinho though isn't it? Yes, he spent millions on the Porto side which won the Champions League, Keegan's great when everything's going smoothly but when it starts getting tough what does he do? Resign.
  6. The thing is, the media claims could well be bullshit. And I might be wrong but where has Redknapp been quoted as saying he was offered it? I know he said he wouldnt take over, but that could be like the media all speculating Shearer is gonna take over at Man Utd, and Al comes out and says "sorry, great job, but I'm happy living in Newcastle and working with BBC" even though he hasnt actually been offered it. He has "They can think what they want, i was offered the job"
  7. And? Eriksson has a much bigger reputation than Harry Redknapp, Mourinho didn't have the same recognition then than he does now. In England he didn't, everyone in European football though knew how good he was. That's the whole point isn't it? Everyone in England knows the world class manager he is and yet he would be second choice to Harry Redknapp. I'm glad you were in that meeting where Mort decided that Harry Redknapp was his first and only man for the job, otherwise we'd never know Thanks for clearing that up. Would you stop harassing me please?
  8. Yes. And you were how old when he was in charge? What's your point? I never said the era wasn't brilliant did i? I've also seen him go through other clubs and resign in every single one of them, stop living in the past. I never gave an opinion on him either way, so I don't know where 'stop living in the past', is coming from. I suggest you start posting about the topic then, anything else doesn't matter. Do you just fancy foreign blokes? Luque, Enrique, and now you want an exotic looking man so you can make a collage looking wallpaper that you can wank over. Since when did i care what you thought mate? You're obviously interested about what i think, I'm sorry i can't return the favour

  10. Our chances of appointing someone good have dropped significantly, the fact the media claim and Redknapp himself claims he was offered the job means that any other manager looking at the job realizes they're the second choice, do you think someone with Mourinho's caliber would want a job in which: 1.Harry Redknapp rejected 2.He was Ashley's second choice If those two points are true of course. It's irrelevant, whether it's true or not it's something the candidate will be thinking about. So Mourinho would only accept the nufc job if he was the ONLY person in the world considered for it? I know he's a bit big headed, but come on. No, did you not read my post above, "Our chances of appointing someone good have dropped significantly" I never said he wouldn't accept, put yourself in Jose Mourinho's shoes, you're one of, if not the best manager in the world, you could goto Newcastle, a mid-table team who have just tried to appoint Harry Redknapp, they view you as their back-up choice. You could go to Newcastle or wait for a job with one of the biggest clubs in the world, what would you do if you were Jose Mourinho? It certainly wouldn't be the first option.

  16. I think it's just a metaphor in this case. There isn't an actual CV. yeah I know. Just saying if they were considering him, surely he'd become first choice. I can imagine a full Jose CV though. "1984 - worked part-time at "[insert Portuguese shop name here]", the Portuguese version of Woolworths..." We won't be considering him and if we've considered him after been rejected by Redknapp I'll be baffled by Mort and Ashley's decisions. Everything is pointing to the fact that we didn't offer Redknapp the job, but that we approached him for talks, as we did with other candidates. Is it? By the fact we said we didn't actually offer him the job? Have you not thought that was just a ploy in order for us to look less stupid than we already do?

Think about it a bit harder, and see if your opinion changes. I was right first time.

I believe Redknapp, Redknapp has no reason to lie, we do.
  20. The independant claim Van Gaal has ruled himself out, no quotes though.
