So I take it cwarris07 was right all along. Ehm, he said Gervinho already had signed. I was incredibly serious.

Not Gosling...

Another African journalist saying the same. Claims his agent said so after Benin 2-6 Ivory Coast. No quotes though And others claim that his agent told French media that he's heading our way. It's all rubbish by the looks of it, and probably will be until he says something himself.

Irritating, just want some clarity in this.

NOT. A. REAL. ACCOUNT. Thought it was his old one that was re-opened. My bad.

Enrique's just wished him well in the future on Twitter Why the fuck are we so desperate to get rid? Surely something has happend.

Daft decision if true. Give him time, loan him out and let him develop. His goalscoring hasn't been there but the sort of impact he's had on a couple of games has been terrific. I'd be very disappointed to see him go permanentley at the age of 20.

Kahn - Cafú, Sammer, Pique, Enrique - Xavi, Zidane, Iniesta - Messi, Ronaldo, Henry

Very much doubt he'd want to go back. Probably not him, no, scary coincidence though.

Where does the "personal choice" come from mate? Haven't read this anywhere (totally missed it?) Saw something about it on twitter but dunno where it came from, about it being more about personal reasons than footballing. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_6952929,00.html

Same, I have thought about this a lot recently actually. It's almost as if I want Gervinho etc. not to sign just to see him disappear. Can't stand the amount of people that seem to be relying on his bullshit for real. He won't disappear though, he has spouted plenty of s*** in the past that hasn't happened yet people still follow him. I just don't understand it! "I know he's full of s*** but..." Stop following him then!!!!!!!!! I know, thing is this time he's built it all up for a couple of days and loads of people seem to believe him. Anyway, let's just not talk about the prick, makes me angry.

I'm actually optimistic about this now. After what he said today, after what's been going on in recent weeks, the fact that we've followed him for a long time, Cabaye, Tioté and Ben Arfa etc. we actually have a real chance here. Seems like he's made up his mind, and it being a "personal choice" and all...
-
I take it you have also? Actually refuse to "request following" him, just seen others tweet him questions...

I love how lots of people tweet eachother "Gervinho is a done deal, 100%" when they're asking cwarr07 about the deal themselves. Why are people reading his tweets?

he won't have any french mates like he will at Newcastle. Distin, Saha. Fellaini speaks the language. Still think we've got the better of them in that sense.

Off to England apparentley, didn't say anything else. Reckon he's got a couple of options. Will be an interesting week.

He's obviously spoken to Canal+ after the game and said he's going to Newcastle. Apparentley Gervinho said he's off to England as well, but nothing else. -

Yeah, he's been pretty good. Some really classy passing, spraying the ball around the pitch well. First time I've seen him today, so can't really say too much, but looks like a deep lying playmaking CM. Would work really well alongside Tiote in a 4-2-3-1, for example, with Tiote being the ball winning midfielder and Cabaye the playmaker from deep. This. Does exactly what someone playing next to Tiote needs to be doing. Add to that the fact that he scored 15 goals last season and I say we're on to a very, very good signing here. -

He's off judging by that. Exciting signing if it's true we've bagged him.
