Said it before, given Ashley's previous McClaren would be a nice surprise.

Gouff gets a clean slate from me, let's not forget he was really quite popular when he first arrived and before Pardew could really get into his head. -
Absolute bollocks that. They may not have got behind the protests but many are just used to supporting the club through thick and thin. They were probably the same people defending Robson when he was getting some stick. They 'deserve' as much as the next bloke. I say this as someone who was standing in St James with me Sack Pardew flyer. You've just made that up.

Unfortunately, they're our average fans.

Absolutely, cards on the table time. I'm continually baffled by posts like this, in 2014. He appointed Alan Pardew 4 years ago, man. The cards have been on the table for so long they're covered in tea stains. Totally agree, it's like groundhog day every time he has a new decision to make. He is so thin skinned. Any criticism he takes clearly hurts him so much that he feels the need to use his power to make people's lives a misery. People went at him because he made some insanely stupid decisions that ruined the club in some respects, the appointment of Pardew and everything since has just been a big fuck you. His only long-term plan goes alongs the lines of, 'fuck them, their club can rot and make me money while we're at it'. Most normal people would have taken it on the chin, sold the club and moved on. He's obviously a petty, hateful man. The very act of appointing Pardew told everyone (who was paying attention) exactly what his intentions for the club were. Every day he didn't sack him since Reading beating us at home 2-1 has been further proof. This is not 'the time' that we get to find out 'his plan'. We know it very well.

Who is that cunt? And what's his problem?

I've been really heartened by Sack Pardew because it represents real fans doing good for the club that they love in the face of such faceless corporate power, and in 2014 that's a big issue. It would just be petty to deny the effect they had in making Pardew's decision for him, they changed the conversation and for that they should be proud. On the flip side, I feel a disconnect now with the average match going fan that really saddens me. Hopefully that will mend in time but it's not something I ever thought would happen. I love the club as much as ever, but I've got less time for the average fans.

Yes! No! -
This would be beautiful, for Hatem to see off Pardew and come back to us. Even just for another half season, I'll take it.
