Right. So if Isak leaves and we can't get anyone else in, is Wissa on the bench and coming on for the last ten mins of every game? He might be the squad replacement long-term. In the short-term, though, on the pitch, he replaces Isak this season.

I think Jackson is very likely a last minute Isak replacement. Seems like it's been really quiet on him which is weird given that he has pretty good stats in the PL? You'd have thought there would be more interest in him. Wouldn't be surprised at all if he's lined up in case we get an acceptable bid for Isak.

I think it’s perfectly reasonable to suggest that they’re both cunts but that the agent has driven the extreme actions. At the risk of stating the bloody obvious Isak’s job is to be really good at football, everything else is his agents concern. Yes Isak can decline any course of action his agent recommends but it seems as if he’s prioritising money/trophies in the short term and he’s willing to follow whatever action his agent recommends. How much information is coming to Isak independent of his agent? I think it’s reasonable to assume very little. In that sense he could be very dependent on his agent, and, having decided to follow the money right now, dependent on his advice step by step. Not sure where that puts me on the critical thinking scale.

It's such a difficult situation, isn't it. The last thing you want to do is waste the money which could legitimately transform us into title contenders. That's why I think he might go without a replacement. I hope not, but I think it's possible if Eddie judges it best in the short-term to get him out of the club.
