I will be laying the blame squarely at Mike Ashley's feet if we fail to win the league and there's nothing you can do about it Ian Deluded Geordies and their unrealistic expectations. Etc etc. I just love the way you take it so personally whenever anyone slags off the club that you're now issuing pre-emptive strikes to make sure it doesnt happen

Indeed. If the worst happens and he goes he'll still have been a fantastic signing, and our recruitment policy's pretty fucking good at the minute. That said, i'd be really sad to see him play for someone else now and you just know we'd have to watch Shola piss about for another year. Demba Ba's making me fucking bi-polar.

on seeing that in real time I thought Suarez had mis timed it. but the replay shows him nudge parker in the back and then just hoof him in the stomach. it's very much like when someone gets caught in an aerial challenge and you can say 'well his eyes never leave the ball, it's unintentional'. In this case though Suarez knows where Parker is the entire time and just kicks him.

for the first 20 minutes, until we score, like it always is.

one has a brain rather a bigger fighting spirit. dose ´t think Jonas is a specially smart player at all. as well as a fighting spirit. Jonas is incredibly good at using his body to shield the ball and winning free kicks by inviting contact and being a little bit quicker than a defender, you need a brain to do that.

He has a very particular skill set, he's great at some things and awful at others. He's pretty consistent though so you know what you're getting.

I think Obertan will ensure HBA gets at least another 3/4 game run before the end of the season.
-
He definitely did that on a few occasions yesterday which was good to see but unfortunately his poor decision making is still there. Not as frustrating as he was a month ago though. Progress methinks. if he'd played for 90 mins he'd have been just as frustrating imo

major difference between being a cunt and being shit at football/not putting the effort in

they just decide whether he's guilty or not though surely? i can certainly see a judge being under some political pressure to sentence him properly, which would be jail time for the amounts involved.
-
what a tiresome little wanker. i was heavily criticising the club for not stumping up the cash for him in the summer, seems they got that one right as well.
-
that was the most frustrating game i've seen us play for some time

we've had a better season than any of us can imagine, we've invested in a new striker to help us push on. unless we offer him a contract that includes a massive pay cut (not wholly unlikely i admit) then the club's doing everything it can to make him want to stay. if he chooses to leave after the season we're having he was never gonna stay anyway.

4-2-3-1 is the best system for us IMO...... Simpson Williamson Colo Santon Tiote Cabaye Ben Arfa Ba Jonas Cisse Ba drops deep into midfield to help out the midfield two anyway so i dont see the problem with it, obviously changes to 4-4-2 when we are on the attack....... The percieved problem with Ben Arfa's lack of work rate is quite frankly a non issue with Ba dropping in midfield and Cabaye and Tiote protecting the defence. I understand why Pardew wouldnt want Ben Arfa with Perch and Guthrie in midfield and Best and Shola upfront but with Tiote, Cabaye and Ba i dont see an argument tbh. Also Cisse works very hard off the ball aswell. Again, why move Ba anywhere? He has been nothing short of magnificent for us in the exact role he is playing, he has also scored 16 goals, why would you mess with that? He is a striker that comes deep, playing him anywhere else from that position is going to affect both us and him. We now have 2 great strikers, so for me the perfect logic is play them both upfront. he plays there anyway

To the tune of ' he's here, he's there, he's everyfucking where' Had this going in the Gallowgate back row yesterday. brilliant, definitely having a few go's at this at spurs
-
disgusting isnt it, if Ba does leave you know it'll be Shola and Cisse starting up front next season.
-
At one point he was one on one against Dunne on the edge of their box. All he had to do was drop a shoulder and he's in on goal, he hasn't even got that in his locker. He was better yesterday than he usually is but he still slowed down attacks and let defenders get into position. We can't have two wide players who do this consistently and expect to do well.

Holy fuck man, that hit. Don't remember ever seeing someone so calmly lash it in the top corner.
