this, exactly. talk of 'diversity' is a smoke screen. they're going on like they're bothered about everyone getting together to enjoy a game of football no matter what their background. what they're really bothered about is that the grounds remain respectable and not too intimidating to keep attracting the rich. is a modern football crowd REALLY that diverse? i dont think so. bring in standing for those that want it, those that dont can sit.

The 2010-2011 Betting Thread - forum gamble fails, Ash's fault.

just about to trade out blackburn to go down on betfair. backed at 8/1 when allardyce got sacked and they're at 3/1 now. i'll double my money if they stay up and be evens if they go down. -
worst analogy ever

Aside from Best who else from the first team would've started against Stoke bearing in mind he knew Ben Arfa and Ireland were crocked when he bought them? Basically without Barton, Jonas and Best (and Routledge, who Pards should never have loaned out) we're devoid of any attacking threat. Combine that with Jose going off and Ben Arfa being out for the season (which is due to his broken leg so wasn't known when he arrived) we're fucked. I honestly don't think the manager matters that much when the players on the pitch are as poor as we have now. it was known he had a broken leg when we signed him permanently, pardew was the manager then, be consistent.

Really? great stuff isnt it, particularly like the n'zogbia bid reference as well.

Why didn't he get a loan striker in instead of Ireland? Sturridge or Vela perhaps? Because Ireland is costing him f*** all. So you agree with me that Ireland was brought in because he's injured and not despite the injury? And you support a manager who is complicit in this? Yes, I'd go along with that. Why do you either have to love or hate Pardew? I'm just not blaming him for the January window because it's not his fault. he's married a convicted serial killer, i've absolutely no sympathy for him when he gets his head stoved in with a hammer

Absolutely. Should have ran the detestable s*** out of town from day one. What a load of absolute s**** from you both. What was your act of defiance btw, Wullie? Constantly having a go at him on this forum? keep smiling lads, as long as you get a little bit of joy from looking 'level-headed'.

incidentally, i haven't. i'll say he's a clown who doesnt deserve to manage nufc who got the job because his boss is a grade a cunt every single day for the rest of his nufc career, whether we win or lose. nice of you to stand in for him before anyone even says anything like. truth is we dont need to, the spirits gone and our best players are following. bank balance looks good though

was that daglish post match? -
the attitude from the top has filtered down successfully it seems

any job will have things that bother you if you do it for a while. it's quite clearly one of the better jobs around if you like football and aren't averse to travelling.

what's important is making good decisions general, is it not? it is, posting that someone backs off all the time when they don't is a bad decision. haha, i dunno like. i've seen him do it an awful lot, with my own eyes. -
well, it's been pretty good over the last couple of seasons i think. last few weeks have been awful though

Their standard response to that one is, that most/all of our season ticket holders were/are tied into the 3 year deal from 2008, otherwise we would have had much lower crowds. ahhh, so if we didnt have as many fans wanting to buy tickets, then we would sell less tickets. i can see their logic

Stoke City vs Newcastle United, Saturday 19th March, pre-match thread.

is it fair to point out the correlation between us getting loads of injuries and pardew coming in or is it coincidence? -
If your not paying for wages then aye, but we are paying Gosling and Ireland decent wages. i doubt gosling's getting much like?

probably something to do with how he plays - he's titus mark 2, has clear weaknesses that cant be addressed in training i.e. they're psychological how he acts - constantly lecturing others on the pitch while being rubbish his attitude - he's been talking himself up for years and regularly blabs about which clubs want him and how he'll play for england, if i know this its not surprising that the talk is pretty widespread, newcastle's a small town. above everything else, do you know what. he's just not good enough. Never heard him say he will play for England. Never heard him say which clubs are after him. Your idea of rubbish is different from mine. I watched us when we were genuinely crap. alright then, he's not good enough to be first choice at the level nufc are at in 2011 Nor is Mike Williamson - we need a new centre-back. But my main problem is with the level of hate on a supposedly Newcastle-supporting board. well its relative isnt it, i'm not gonna come on here and say what i think about david wheater, i dont give a fuck about him and neither does anyone else on here (i hope). i dont hate taylor, i reserve hatred for people like drogba who are massively talented but cheat all the time.
