  1. no, because that'd be confirmation that i'm a cunt, rather than just a nagging feeling
  2. I've said that a few times. A little hint: people don't always mean what they say. What would you get out of finding it anyway? huh dude? what did they mean then when the argued with me line by line that we would beat spurs? i stand by what i write, even when i'm pissed and writing shite...surely everyone should do that or retract? (as i do when i'm sober) Sometimes people post things with their tongue in their cheek. i'm assuming you're one of the people i'm recalling? however there was no tongue in cheek in this...is there a tutorial about how to properly search old threads 'cause i think people who argued in january that we'd do spurs and stay up easily deserve outing personally we'll probably beat them and go down
  3. because sometimes circumstances change performances, i'm not saying they definitely will, but it does happen
  4. He's two-footed. Why is that so difficult to comprehend? because he isnt?
  5. Do you not think he already has adapted? He seems to still have the ability to pop up in the right spots, although he can't score the 20 yard run and shots anymore. Problem is we don't see it very much because he plays so little. Up front he hasn't adapted his game. Still someone who poses the threat of scoring goals, but on average delivers absolutely nothing to the team and will miss the odd chance that drops to his feet. Pretty much the type of striker who could get a team relegated, not through any direct fault of his own, but because a team that isn't equipped to supply him is a team that is playing with 10 men every time he fails to score. Even Ameobi, one of the worst strikers in the league, is quite possibly a better option in the team next to Martins if Owen doesn't suddenly start tucking them away. His spell in midfield is where he did adapt his game. Keegan knew what he was doing when he effectively removed Owen from the frontline - given his lack of clear pace, Owen was far more dangerous running into the box off the ball unmarked. Unfortunately, for obvious reasons, we weren't ever going to see him play in that role this season. thats ridiculous
  6. I think I was saying this a year ago.... I agree with the sentiments of the interview, it's just ironic that the comments are being made by one of the men in the areas that needs an overhaul. If you were saying it a year ago, then you looked pretty stupid by the end of the season after Butt had been superb in the last 10-12 games. he's fucking rubbish and has needed to be replaced for at least two seasons, open your eyes
  7. i'm still clinging to a bit of late form thanks to beye/guthrie/owen, home wins against boro, pompey and fulham and maybe a couple of draws, i think we'll stay up, just
  8. That's the most likely situation. Then we'll have players, manager and fans saying 'if we play like that against...' all over again. yup, its only slightly more likely than us getting our arses handed to us on a plate though
  9. not sure of his contract situation, is it just till end of this season?
  10. You prefer Hughton to stay in charge? no, but its still the worst birthday present ever
  11. Done, 17 confirmed unless I've missed anyone out by accident. Is Stupeedo and Prophet not playing? That's my point you aren't in bold. never playing on it again after doing my ankle in and being advised by hospital staff that they're getting loads of injuries from it
  12. oh my god, worst fucking birthday present ever
  13. I turned up with extra large pockets in fairness. I never gave myself top billing! Was just trying to scare cp40, it clearly didn't work. Your pockets clearly did have a small hole in, cos I did manage to score a blatantly not offside goal. Was that when we had 2 at the back against your 8 strikers? That could have been at any time during the ninety minutes tbh. i was one of the only two supposed to be upfront and i played there for about two mins Are you playing this time? I have a master tactical plan for you this time. if its on 3G i'm afraid not mate, any other surface and i'm definitely there

  15. i fucking hate cattermole, wonder how many weeks in total he's put players out for this season, its probably about a year
  16. he's been consistent since the mackem game imo, very pleased with his progress, if colo improves next season as i expect him to we will have a very good starting back four
  17. Partly true, but we didn't wait for Man Utd to attack last night. We took the game to them right from the off, that was one of the best things about it. Obviously Martins and Lovenkrands are dangerous on the break, but it was more than just that. it seemed to me that almost all our attacking moments came on the counter though, someone made a good point in the hull match thread that we're a team who relies on the ability of the teams we're playing against to determine how well we're gonna play. that said i still think we'll stay up as we've got players coming back now and we've got a few games at home that are winnable. its vital that we get nolan/guthrie/barton playing well in the middle as i dont think we've got MAJOR problems anywhere else. The management team. thats a given

  19. our decent performance is as much down to the way man u play as anything else imo. they naturally attack so are open to counter attacks with pace like ours. sorry but i've seen this bunch of players turn out woeful performance after woeful performance against shite opposition that i cant really take many positives from this. we'll roll up at hull, they wont attack anywhere near as much as man u and we'll struggle to break them down.
