  1. 1. Martins 2. Shearer 3. Man U 4. Given (Colo plays a blinder in goal as Harper is injured)
  2. apologies, didnt know it was against the rules
  3. http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/1012/010278424849700ib3.jpg And hasnt he got a lovely coat.
  4. hahaha, what on EARTH is that first paragraph all about?
  5. I don't even think he's found form particulalry, but this is probably the wrong game to throw Barton in at the deep end. At home against West Brom would have been a better time for Butt to get injured. butt hasnt found form, but since we're bypassing the midfield when we have posession he isnt getting a chance to play any of those trademark killer passes to the opposition
  6. in the daily mail too http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1080200/Kuwaiti-billionaire-ready-buy-Newcastle-end-week.html?ITO=1490
  7. i dunno like, i'm one of butts harshest critics but since we've found a little bit of form in the last two games i dont know if i want to see the middle of the park change for such an important game, we could probably do with his experience for this one
  8. if there is going to be an annoucement i'd rather it was after the derby tbh
  9. was absolutely tearing up the pitch on a counter attack, 3 on 2, 2 players ahead of him, got to the edge of the box and went arse over tit with no-one within 5 yards
  10. Nowt on North East Tonight Hope this is true really cant see it like too good to be true, is it a wind up by the mackems? I’ll not be buying new tea towels for head wear just yet! I can’t understand the logic of those 2 brothers buying rival clubs, unless they don’t get on. are you joking? do you have a brother? i cant imagine many things being more fun tbh
  11. got a link to the thread? i just like indulging in stuff like this
  12. Maybe next month we'll all see You smack your lass with a Christmas tree haha, this one!
  13. excellent news, fair play to whoever made that decision, now i'm even more positive we'll get a result
  14. when's the decision expected? late afternoon?
  15. They've won 2 games this season. 2. They've managed to score 7 goals in 8 games too. so no great shakes recently, haven't they drawn their last two games aswell? like us. why exactly are they favourites? because we lost our manager and had loads of injuries?
  16. i'm un-decided on this, my first impulse is to sit on the fence and say draw, but thinking about it we've been pretty good in the last two games and our confidence is only going to get better after the man city result. add to that the fact that its a derby and our lot have a lot to prove this season and we might just get a performance out of them and beat the twats. how have the mackems been playing recently?
  17. cant believe some of the excuses for him NOT EVEN RUNNING 5 YARDS TO CLOSE SOMEONE DOWN. midfield? too deep? what are you lot on. HE DIDNT. BOTHER. HIS. ARSE. also got to love the 'carroll only looked shit coz ameobi wasnt shit' theory, jesus christ
  18. you're not allowed to criticise players though, it makes you fickle and means you're looking for a scapegoat, especially if they're young. what the fuck, grow some balls man, that was a shocking display last night.
  19. deserved his standing ovation last night, improved massively on his last year of performances.
  20. no, no, no. we hate sunderland, its eternal, its important, and it needs to be pointed out.
  21. i dont think anyone's trying to find a scapegoat as pretty much everyone's saying they were happy with the result and would've taken it before the match, but if you cant come on and put people under pressure on their half way line for ten minutes, at the LEAST, then either declare yourself unfit, or fuck off. whether you're alan shearer, shola ameobi, carl cort or andy carroll. no?
  22. Well done Habib Beye for being better than Carr, Hughes and Griffin. Picking the bones again, then. Class counter-argument. I can't take seriously what you're saying about him tonight, so i'll just ask: what've you got against him like? The fact that he's not a particularly good crosser of the ball? That for me, is his only real weakness. I've got nothing against him apart from I don't think he's that good. If Steven Taylor made that tackle in the box then reactions would be completely different, fair enough he got a slight touch on the ball but you can't make tackles from behind anywhere on the pitch so to make one in the penalty box is daft. wasn't from behind in that sense wasnt from behind anyway, if we're gonna get technical about it, it was from the side
