a bit cynical to think the bid's for fan placating purposes. while i can see why people think this way i dont think they care an awful lot what we think of them, do you? added to the fact that this window has already been successful and i think its a genuine bid, whether we'll get him i imagine comes down to which other clubs bid for him. it'll have to be a well established premier league team to out do us imo. with him here we'll have an excellent chance of going up and he'll be in the team next season providing he keeps his form and stays injury free.

the majority of the noise does come from level 7, and thats a fact. i enjoy listening to them tbh, i like a good atmosphere and singing is obviously a part of it, having said that,i'm happy to admit i rarely join in. i'm more of a sit, watch, consider sort of fan. i'm usually too nervous to do anything else, i always clap and praise though if someone does well and i do my best to keep my negative comments to a minimum.

i dont agree with that last part at all, yes allowances can be made for refs in reviewing the result compared to the performance, but the fact remains if you play better as a team than the people you're playing against, you're gonna win more than you lose regardless of the ref.

assuming that's supposed to answer my question, let me clarify, why is HE coming here? promising championship defender gets a move to the premier league, gets unlucky and for whatever reason doesnt get played, then signs up for more time on the bench....back in the championship, nothing about that strikes you as a bit odd? unless we're paying him big wages? nah he's guranteed first team football? nah he doesnt actually think he's that good and wants to sit on the bench? erm his only reason for coming here is just to get away from pompey? maybe Pompey might well have told him to fuck off if they can't actually afford to play him.
