why is that curious? they're doing they're job ffs!! do you expect KK to sell the tickets and the burgers aswell? all clubs have scouts, we've got some pretty good ones at the minute by the looks of our three new signings yesterday. its extremely small minded to suggest that you could be 'stirring up trouble' by quoting kk. its been said countless times by people within the club that KK has final say on transfers, he's just got some people working with him to find good players, its a pretty sweet deal if you ask me, get a grip.

as someone who misses a few matches a season, i think this is a very good idea.

Jonas is a fucking demon, so pleased with his debut, Colo looked nervous at first but you could see his quality as time went on. I have to give credit to Taylor for a very good performance as i've been critical of him in the past. Happy with Guthrie too, neat passing and mostly forwards, which is a nice change. Give me a left back as good as beye, someone to replace the ludicrous nicky butt, and a viduka thats fit and i'll be over the moon. Well done lads.

i think thats a bit of a simplistic way of looking at it. with any deadline, everyone is aware of when it happens and how long they've got to make their deals, thats why there are more deals on the last day of the window than on the first. saying that i think we'll get two, maybe three if we're lucky.

i'd be happy with that, probably with geremi instead of butt though, so we can at least try and keep the ball a bit

this seems as good a thread as any to say what i want to say. i am absolutely buzzing at the thought of our new season starting tomorrow, we've got a manager i trust totally, and what looks like a decent recruitment drive going on (by that i mean i'm happy with all our buys so far). i know you could realistically say this before any season, i probably did before the last one, but this could very well be the season that starts a new era for this club. there'll be ups and downs, but i expect it'll be a season of positivity, commitment and hope, and wont it be nice for that to be coming from the club as well as us this time? bring it on.

level 1 is £110, you then have to go away and do AT LEAST 16 hours of logged coaching before they'll even let you on the the level 2 course. they advise that you do about 60 hours though as its quite a jump from level 1 to 2. level 2 is around £300

bit of both would be nice i think, you dont wanna only have one way of playing imo Owen's good in the air and has a knack of getting on the end of crosses despite his size. Martins has a great leap too. I just don't know why anyone would turn their noses up at a footballer like Saviola just because he's not that tall. i agree with what you're saying, i think owen's fantastic in the air tbh (first goal against the mackems was an amazing finish), i didnt necessarily mean height, but a bit of muscle is helpful up top sometimes, martins has it but still gets knocked off the ball a bit. i'm not saying i dont want any player because they're not tall enough, just a bit of variety would be nice incase we need to scrap a game out a bit.

this stuff about him being 'gash upfront last season aswell'. slightly mis-leading i think, at the time he was coming back from a very long lay off and looked un-fit and rusty. if i remember rightly though he started to look much much sharper a couple of games before he was dropped behind the strikers, was spurs his first game there? i've got a feeling it was reading when he started to look like himself.
