I don't. I just feel sorry for people who think a good chairman of a football club is so because he does the conga Priceless mackems.gif As per usual, I don't think anyone has said that? of course they haven't, they've just said it was funny, which it was. doesnt matter whether he's a fantastic chairman or a terrible one, doing that to the mackems chairman is hilarious, that wont stop the shepherd love in though, any excuse. -

Funny that since 51,998 thought Shepherd was a cunt. silly boy. The choice was theirs though. I take it you were one of those 51,998 who spent their money lining the pocket of a cunt ? mackems.gif You could have stopped going of course, like 30000 did before football began in 1992 mackems.gif hang on, freddy shepherd invented football? -

I think its embarrassing. I also think that if Shepherd had did it he would have been slaughtered. Such is the way though. Not that I'm embarrassed personally. In fact I'm more embarrassed by the blatant hypocrisy if anything. proves that you've only ever got one man on your mind tbh -
everyone has their price, and his is much lower than ten million, sell if its true and get someone better

haha, i'm only joking with you mate. i agree with pretty much all of the post i quoted. the fact that keegan's said on a few occasions that owen's our most important signing, ends the debate for me. keegan's the manager and he should be backed by the board (thats for you NE5). and its not like its a questionable call, he's a fucking great player.
-
that. isnt it obvious?
-
Thinking about it...I have already shit my pants. :-[ dont be silly man, emre's never fit

first time i've laughed to myself at anything on here, well done sir

No, because messing about with N'Zogbias contract will make very very little difference to the ultimate aim of cutting down the wage bill. The likes of Owen though... F***ing hell. The "ultimate aim of cutting down the wage bill" isn't the issue here. The issue is that the policy you advocate would be punishing the best player at the club for something that is hardly his fault, and completely out of his control at any rate (the wages of the dross around him). I've no problem with Owen and Martins being on good wages, or the keepers (who've earned it, over the years, especially of late) or any other player who consistently performs well for the club. What message does it send if ONLY Owen's wages take a hit? Then it's not a club problem, it's a problem with Michael Owen. Nice message to send. Play well, be captain and leading scorer, say all the right things, have the manager's support, an incredible record in the league and international play but...the club doesn't respect you, or want to keep you. You aren't worth being overpaid, but all those players around you, they are worth it. It's just you we're cutting pay of. If your boss came to you and said, "look, we need to assure the stability of the company, everyone's taking a bit of a hit"...that's one thing. If he says, "money's tight, you're the best we've got and the best paid, so we're cutting just your wages, and giving that money to the lads around you" how would YOU react? I'd quit on the spot. No f***ing way. Why this insistence on cutting existing players wages? And why the BEST player and club captain? Did no one take proper business courses at college or university? A business can't do that, it's horrific PR and even worse for keeping employees! For f***s sake, the only realistic and viable way to cut the wage bill is to sell the high-paid dross and buy less-remunerated but better-quality players. Punishing current players for the policies of the old regime isn't viable. I've stated my reasoning before, but in brief it's simple: cutting Owen's wages advertises financial problems within the club, indicates a willingness to punish the wrong players, disrespects the club captain, disregards Keegan's emphasis on the importance of that signing, ignores Owen's widespread popularity which can help sign new, young players and shows a lack of ambition as the club clearly wouldn't care to keep their best player. If you think this is a good way to move the club forward...well, there's no longer a point in having any discussion. and thats that

most ridiculously pathetic or True !? Open your eyes.. jesus titty fucking christ

If Allardyce gets the Blackburn job it'll be Blackburn away, nailed on. tbh allardyce or not that'd be my first choice, we've always got a full stand to ourselves and i want to go in the party tent! add that to beating allardyce on the opening day of the season and i cant think of a better start.
-
i wouldnt mind seeing shearer take the blackburn job, just out of interest to see how he'd do
-
damn, missed it, anyone know if its gonna be repeated in full?
-
maybe so they can play a 4-4-2 when they want with barry and gerrard in the middle, as barry possibly offers more going forward than mascherano, but can also do the defensive job
-
have you taken to signing off your posts now because doug stopped?

"Bankrupt"? Nowt like that, just covering his losses with a side bet ffs. He wants to be here, but more to cover his losses than from any desire to be back in the game, because he clearly wasn't interested 60 days before he did come back. mate that doesnt matter at all, if you'd asked him 60 days before he took over the first time he would've said 'no thanks, i'm happy playing golf in the sun' So what changed in that 60 days? Read his autobiography, he wasn't even living in Spain when we approached him first time. i've read it mate, i wasnt trying to be too specific it was just a throwaway comment, the geography isnt it important, its the sentiment and to happy face, i think what changed in 60 days, both times, is we offered him the job Sorry that came across a bit abrupt, posting covertly in work! Was just trying to add to the conversation, not make an abrupt post no worries fella
-
another crock coming for the money? nope

There's been no hostility. Why's discussing something that's happened more of a folly than the dozens of subjects people are getting irate about all over the board on players and stuff that hasn't and will never happen? The quotations indicated the title of your piece, which I assumed, and still assume, is being acted out in mockery of the things you mentioned to highlight the foolish and utterly futile nature of the method by which some people on this board attempt to "argue" and "discuss". If it isn't, then cheers on an accidental masterpiece. Ooh, feeling intelligent today are we? Just because you've listened to a godspeed you black emperor record, doesn't mean you're rod stewart you know, if you dont like the thread, i suggest you use the forecourt to turn around.

i always find this sort of stuff hard to believe, he made colossal amounts of money when playing and managing, and al fayed helped set up the soccer circus, it wasnt just all out of keegans pocket. and if there really WERE financial difficulties, there'd be things other than taking a job that went against his principles

link? i fancy a laugh
