"Bankrupt"? Nowt like that, just covering his losses with a side bet ffs. He wants to be here, but more to cover his losses than from any desire to be back in the game, because he clearly wasn't interested 60 days before he did come back. mate that doesnt matter at all, if you'd asked him 60 days before he took over the first time he would've said 'no thanks, i'm happy playing golf in the sun' So what changed in that 60 days? Read his autobiography, he wasn't even living in Spain when we approached him first time. i've read it mate, i wasnt trying to be too specific it was just a throwaway comment, the geography isnt it important, its the sentiment and to happy face, i think what changed in 60 days, both times, is we offered him the job Sorry that came across a bit abrupt, posting covertly in work! Was just trying to add to the conversation, not make an abrupt post no worries fella

another crock coming for the money? nope

There's been no hostility. Why's discussing something that's happened more of a folly than the dozens of subjects people are getting irate about all over the board on players and stuff that hasn't and will never happen? The quotations indicated the title of your piece, which I assumed, and still assume, is being acted out in mockery of the things you mentioned to highlight the foolish and utterly futile nature of the method by which some people on this board attempt to "argue" and "discuss". If it isn't, then cheers on an accidental masterpiece. Ooh, feeling intelligent today are we? Just because you've listened to a godspeed you black emperor record, doesn't mean you're rod stewart you know, if you dont like the thread, i suggest you use the forecourt to turn around.

i always find this sort of stuff hard to believe, he made colossal amounts of money when playing and managing, and al fayed helped set up the soccer circus, it wasnt just all out of keegans pocket. and if there really WERE financial difficulties, there'd be things other than taking a job that went against his principles

link? i fancy a laugh

struggling with injuries iirc? sign him! Pretty sure 1878 wasn't right impressed with him. yeah i seem to remember him saying he thought he wanted away like and was being difficult because of it, i've always liked him as a player and we obviously need a few like him, i'd be surprised if he came here though, he must have better options by now (sorry NE5)

yeah look at how excited everyone is HAHA, god they're so stupid, good job you're around to make them aware of their stupidity
-
Agreed. x2 x3 Why? Ridiculous just quoting Dave's preference. Why don't you want him? Wages? Style of play? Why do you think he will not fit in with Owen and Martins up front? Does he not score enough goals? Is £8m too expensive? No Pace. Can't drift deep. No tricks. One dimensional. Don't want to pay silly money. Don't want to give Liverpool a way of ditching their 4th choice striker. the first two points are in-correct imo, he's very skillful and his close control isnt too far behind viduka. i dont think he's one dimensional at all, he can bring the ball out of the air, control it to feet, bring people into play, run the channels, flick on, has a dependable finish now and also scores the odd screamer. not wanting to pay silly money isnt a reason not to sign him, its a condition, and the last point is just stupid
-
he already looks farcical tbh, have you seen how long his hands are?
-
have to admit this is my only concern about him, i wonder if he's benfitted from only getting a cameo role, although signing someone who still has that much desire to perform when he's constantly snubbed sounds good
-
while i see the romantic sentiment of going for the unknown wonder kid, its been a good few seasons since we could afford to take that option imo
-
he also scores a couple of screamers a season, which, given whats happened with oba at nufc, would see him idolised instantly
-
have to say up until today i've been open to the idea of signing SWP, but having just discussed my delight at the possibility of getting rid of duff, i've had a slight re-think as it reminded me we wouldnt be sure which SWP we'd be getting
-
based on his inconsistency of a few seasons ago imo in the last two he's looked sharp every time i've seen him and is good at exactly the things we need a player to do in the viduka role of 3 up top
-
said it before, get crouch
-
i'd be absolutely delighted to see him leave. i'm not worried that we haven't got 'replacements' for the shit we're looking to get rid off before we sell them, its negligible whether they need replacing anyway. keegan could put a strip on himself and offer more to the team, and speaking of keegan, i've got every faith in him to bring in the players we need.

Newcastle United's international representation compared to other clubs

haha, you're my favourite -
gutted? he never plays man, i'll be glad to see the back of him
-
yeah i know what you're saying, seems that the law to oppose it would more likely be a discrimination law. at the end of the day the ruling wouldnt be saying the foreigners aren't free to ply their trade.
-
He's not shite at all. How many times have you seen him play? Never is my guess. 9 or 10. its just my opinion, dont let it rattle you mrs beckford.
-
there shouldnt be a policy at all though, apart from whether keegan thinks the player will improve the team and will give nufc good value for money, thats all that should matter
