  1. if we were 100 million in debt and he bought the club for 100 million, shouldnt he have gotten the club for nothing really? that would seem fair. and didnt the halls and shepherd end up getting millions and millions out of the sale? they should be ashamed of themselves really, if it was their fault that we were in so much debt they should have been man enough to walk away without taking so much money out of the club and leaving us so badly in debt. oops wrong thread
  2. whats the score? extra time now? what channel's it on?
  3. dont give him your money, if everyone does that he'll be forced into either selling or pulling his finger out So what if he is skint? Then how are we going to buy and improve? Also, who would want to buy a club where there are no ticket sales, no merchandise being sold, no quality squad, no quality manager or coaching staff, etc? The most realistic solution is to weather the storm, and instead of pushing parts of the club apart we need to all pull together and gain some stability, financially, in a positional sense in the table and in a moral sense. how are we going to buy and improve with no funds for new players and joe fuckin kinnear managing the shite we already have? if we stayed away and didnt buy merchandise it would be obvious that it was because of the ownership and prospective buyers would know that would soon change once they stepped in. i'm not suggesting we pull anything apart, i'm suggesting that if, come the summer, ashley appoints kinnear (which is bad enough in itself) AND continues with giving players like ameobi new contracts while not spending enough to keep us progressing, then we say right thats enough thanks mike, we've had it with you and we're gonna force you out. banners dont force out owners, losing money does, and fast. (disclaimer - no i dont have a better owner in mind)
  4. dont give him your money, if everyone does that he'll be forced into either selling or pulling his finger out
  5. i dont believe for a second that if he had an offer in writing he'd be talking about it before signing it, would have been done and dusted immediately imo
  6. Aye can imagine Darius not being happy about it The press are saying it was Robinho and Elano that would seem odd Not really. Supposedly Elano and Jo have had a big fall out with Hughes, and Robinho made it pretty obvious at the time that he didn't really want to join City. I liked the City Chief Exec on TV and radio this morning desperately trying to convince everyone that Kaka couldn't have turned them down because they didn't even speak to him to make him an offer. Then he pops up on SSN and says that they did speak to his father and personal advisor for over 2 hours. So if that wasn't to make Kaka an offer I wonder what they were talking about. Yeah right. i cant really see any reason to advise one of the best players in the world not to join your team?

  8. No but by turning up in our thousands and clapping like seals and singing our hearts out will turn s*** performances and players with zero professional pride into world beaters. This thread is asking fans to basically do what they do anyway, unless those 30,000 plus fans at home to Hull or 6,000 plus at Ewood Park were not actually NUFC supporters or there to cheer on their team. You're right, we do support the players. We also give them a f***ing hard time, too (well, sections of the crowd do). Not saying they don't deserve it. But it's not helpful. Given that the thread was a reaction to the "do we need to start protesting" I believe that this is more what the original poster wanted to get across. The booing and moaning which is a minority anyway is way way down on the list of not helping matters thing, zero professional pride, no leadership at the top, shit tactics, injuries, poor squad depth, lack of commitment and feeling sorry for themselves is way way higher on the list. The fact that so many turn up and do cheer to support these wasters and this fucked up club is more than enough good support to render any booing and moaning insignificant to the proceedings. Like Gemmil said we can't fix this. They got a full house against Liverpool and no booing or moaning, I mean every goal we conceded resulted in fans standing and singing about the team, but did they respond, did they shite, they capitulated because they have hearts the size of atoms and couldn't give a damn and even if they did or there is a still a small flicker locked away, Kinnear and his staff are incapable of igniting it and to be honest as much as I can't stand half the fuckers representing our shirt, I can't really blame them because they've been sold a lie like we all have. The buck stops with those at the top and I'm pretty certain when Feb the 2nd arrives those still defending them and making excuses and blaming everyone and everything except these morons in charge will quickly change their tune, go missing for a few months or hopefully, stop fucking breathing. I jest on the latter of course, I'm just pissed off how its always our fault, how fans want to hold fellow fans accountable and responsible while letting the real culprits off scott free. Fuck off to that. Generally valid points. I agree that most of those contribute. Turning the place into a circus yet again isn't really the answer though, is it? No one is saying that it's all the fan's fault and everyone else is blameless. But you must acknowledge the role of the fans? When Keegan first returned and we all had that lift, the players were different. When Joe first took charge, that gave them a lift and they started to be a bit more promising (albeit temporarily). If we know that they are confidence players then what is the sense in protesting, booing, giving everyone involved a hard time? Surely there are better ways to show your displeasure. Better times to do it, too. its pretty simple really, dont go, dont give them your money, its the only form of protest they care about
  9. fucking city man, gonna be ace once they get a good manager :-[
  10. i was so fucking excited when this happened :-[
  11. i honestly dont remember being excited about one thing we did all game, my half time hot dog was the best part of the game ffs

  13. haha, you still insist that one person with less than 30% of shares makes all these appointments then tells everybody about it later. You still defend the worst owner we have had in decades - because he hasn't "embarrassed" you yet - never mind, the way soopa mike is going it won't be too long before you will be wanting someone to come along and save the club just like the Halls and Shepherd did in 1992. I've long suspected you didn't really support the club back then and with every post you make expressing sentiments like this post you have just made, only re-inforces that impression. There is nothing that can change history, look at the league positions, the state of the ground, the esteem the club was held in inside the game, the crowds, anything you can think of pre-1992. Its people like you who change history ie the absurd notion you tried to peddle once that the Halls and Shepherd were "just the same" as their predecessors and the equally absurd picture you tried to paint that the club wasn't any better than when making excuses for Waddle, Gazza and Beardsley all wanting to leave the club to further their careers, like Shay Given may do now. Fact is, people like you wanted rid of fat fred for anyone because he "embarrassed" you, but you are now looking at a team on its way back to where the Halls and shepherd found it, and unless someone picks it up are going to be embarrassed a lot more than you were watching a team that qualified for europe regularly and was an established top division club. Take my word for it, if its alll going to be a new experience for you. personally i wanted rid of him because he proved himself to be utterly inept and was very very bad for the club, maybe micks motivation was different though? after all you would know, wouldnt you? so you think qualifying for europe more than everybody bar 4 clubs, filling the stadium, reaching a couple of Cup Finals, playing in the Champions League, attracting top players to the club including Englands main goalscorer, "is inept" do you ? The whole problem with people like you is that you just don't see or understand the reality of football and ambition in football, and even worse is we now have an owner who is showing you exactly how crucial it is, and you STILL don't get it. the whole problem with YOU is that you think because i didnt approve of shepherd that i automatically think ashley is great, i dont, and neither do others. so stop telling us what we think. i think shepherd's a muppet and so far ashley's been a disaster, do you get that? well, lets hope we get someone running the club asap who backs their managers and gets us back into europe rather than relegation. If you call that being a muppet, its your opinion, but I wonder what you would think of a muppet if we really had one. Oh, wait a moment .......... backing managers and getting us into europe doesnt count as muppetry in my book mate
  14. indeed, but it will be interesting to see how many will now agree especially those who blindly wanted "anybody but Fred" Or admit it. Who cares? Is point scoring that important? 'i told you so'

  17. what exactly is it about joe kinnear that makes people say this sort of s***? swearing doesnt equal passion, or 'fire', he's uninspiring and lame as f***, need proof? watch our f***ing team play Because it's true. 18. what exactly is it about joe kinnear that makes people say this sort of shit? swearing doesnt equal passion, or 'fire', he's uninspiring and lame as fuck, need proof? watch our fucking team play
  19. we're so shit we cheer joey barton coz he beats his chest, i cheered him aswell, i loved it. why? he's a fucking knob. thats how shit we are.
  20. Good post. However I doubt we'll be seeing any significant investment if at all on the playing side because Ashley simply isn't committed to the club. He's here to get his money back before leaving. By spending more of his money on players, he's only going to increase what he's owed back and thus the already difficult task of getting his money back. The reason why we haven't bought anyone is because the only money available to Kinnear is from any that comes in via player sales and that hasn't happened. He could salvage the club of course, but to do that would require commitment and doing away with the system he has in place, the people responsible for that, dispensing with Kinnear, replacing him with a good manager and backing that manager with cash. That just isn't going to happen. The club won't be turned around until he leaves and he ain't leaving until he gets his money back. Do you think he would consider a cut-price in the summer if most fans boycotted the games? (whether it'll happen is another thing obiously) its happening, he isnt getting another penny from me
