have to say i find this very odd, there were large sections of the game where he was the only lad in black n white able to actually pass to a team mate, i thought he was quality, again -
give him whatever he wants, head and shoulders above any other attacking player this season and when he has signed can we start singing his name next season? for fucks sake

Why not wait and see instead of having a go about something which may not happen? because the entire point of this forum is for us all to say what we think should happen, what we think WILL happen, and then the ones who were right get to say i told you so, over and over again? -

A cross between that and a fundamentalist Muslim, preposterously overreacting any time he considers his idol has been slighted. will someone who's proficient with photoshop PLEASE make this idea into a picture? i'm thinking of this one http://sioedeutschland.files.wordpress.com/2007/10/behead_those_who_insult_islam_london.jpg -

Away kits have been primarily driven by commercial exploitation rather than on-field footballing reasons for nearly 20 years now, and third kits exclusively so. Way back in the 70's and early 80's you'd rarely see a team in their away kit unless there was a clash with their opponents home kit, but then they figured out that away kits were a potentially source of lucrative revenue and now teams regularly turn out in away kits even if there's no clash at all. As for third kits, there's absolutely no footballing reason to have them whatsoever. It's virtually impossible to have a kit clash with both home and (properly designed) away kits. How many kits have Spurs got this year? 4 Yup. It's bad enough bringing out a third, or "European" kit like we have done, but the worst example is when Man Utd and Liverpool brought out "European home kits", that are still red for fucks sake, just with different lines on them. I've never bought a third shirt and havn't had an away shirt for about 5 years now. ditto few things piss me off more than people wearing away shirts to attend matches, we should be aiming for a sea of black n white

can you make another one so i can vote twice for shepherd?

At one game earlier in the season Martins had a shot from about 15 yards out that the keeper saved and the bloke behind me was screaming "Why didn't you fucking pass it to him man!" pointing towards Geremi out wide, later in the second half a similar situation occurred but this time he did pass it to Geremi who wasted it only for the same bloke to shout "What are you passing to him for for fucks sake, shoot man" It's easy to point something out afterwards and say they should have done this or that, you won't find many strikers who would pass when they've got a chance to shoot though, especially in the position he was in when he could have passed to Barton. just because the bloke behind you is fickle/stupid doesn't mean that oba doesnt need to try and improve his vision, he does. put quite simply he SHOULD have passed the ball to barton, any player in that position should as barton was in such a superior position to score, there was also quite a few occassions against pompey when his decisions were odd, and thats being kind.

boro fan 2-0 to us

Sunderland 1 Newcastle 4 17 April 2006, the day before my 21st birthday and the first time i'd been to see us play them away, Shearer's last ever game and goal for the toon, even luque fucking scored! The way we turned it around in the second half was just magic, my favourite footballing memory ever, its gonna take some beating.

ridiculous isnt it, people just need to remove the bug from their arses, he's a class act, end of

man united, i hate them just as much as the mackems, i absolutely, fucking, hate man united. i can watch them play with almost as much interest as watching us because i take such delight in seeing them lose, shame it doesnt happen much, i'm praying for ferguson to go and for them to have a dodgy couple of years at least

Is it acceptable to boo any substitutions? Debateable but I thought booing that one was particularly ridiculous, given the circumstances, it being obvious what the manager's thinking was and what happened against Blackburn previously. I don't really approve of booing the manager / the players full stop. I thought the 'You don't know what you're doing' aimed at Allardyce was bad craic even, given it's never anything other than unhelpful and divisive. I'm not sure why people booed that substitution tbh, although I agree with Skirge's point about keeping your quick players on if you're looking to sit on a lead rather than someone like Viduka, I think Keegan took him off because of his reaction to being substituted against Birmingham anyway as if to say that his tantrum won't any affect on how he does things, I think the fan reaction might have shocked him though. As for Allardyce. the 'You don't know what you're doing' is bad craic but it's hard not to get frustrated when you're chasing a game and he replaced Milner with N'Zogbia, the worst for me this season was the stick Barton got during the Blackburn game, the over the top groans when he gave the ball away compared to everyone else was pretty bad, as was the booing after the 0-0 against Villa. I totally agree there, especially re: Barton in that match. The poor fucker must have been scared to touch the ball. The thing is I think Keegan would have brought him off if it wasn't for the fear of the fans reaction towards him (Barton) which is worse than him getting stick for taking Oba off. The crowd is our own worst enemy at times. indeed, nice to see that there was no booing bartons name before the match against reading, that's the first time since his christmas behaviour, just goes to show people will forgive you if you put in a few good performances. anyway back on topic, i've never been a big fan of oba, obviously i can see he's got talent but he's frustrated me more then excited me which i dont take as a good sign. however, since kk came in he's been getting better and better and i'm starting to think that oba might actually get a lot more consistent with kk guiding him, lets hope so because on his day he's un-stoppable, and there's not many players in the world you can say that about.
-
i'd be happy with this
-
same outlook as the spurs game for me, i'd be happy with a draw and not too disapointed with a loss providing our performance levels dont drop too much
-
i'd say what he's learned is that they can beat the teams they SHOULD be beating and turn in a very good performance away from home against an un-motivated team. the only thing ground breaking about our performances since blackburn has been the way he's put the confidence back into the team, oh and now butt and barton can pass, which i certainly didnt see coming.
-
quite a few knee jerk wallys in here, should be ashamed of yourselves to be honest
-
If only people knew, I'm sure they'd gladly sit in Newcastle traffic for an hour or wait three quarters of an hour for a metro they could squeeze on, as long as it maintained your fantasy. so it's only me that enjoys a full 90 minutes of football? i'm sure there's someone else out there! i stay to the final whistle mate, i cant help it, i still have that feeling you get when you first start going to the match and you dont wanna miss ANYTHING, but then i dont have to travel far to get home
-
Like someone says, no worse than something you'd see on South Park or in a satirical magazine. the difference being that in south park its done with intelligence and wit, as part of a story in which you hear both sides of the argument, not, as stated above, a pointless photoshop thats just trying to be offensive for no reason ,because whoever did it is under the mistaken impression that its creative or funny.

oh i thought it was the 'dont sign anyone from a club with a better team than ours' rule. i think this needs clarification just so we're all sure.
