I seem to recall him bailing Boumsong out a ton at Yeading and thinking we were on to something with him.

Really love that image that had me thinking how funny would it be if they just got a chance to punt it in without the sub 'keeper getting a chance to come on.

Bowyer - cunt but I don't have hard feelings toward his stint with us in general, that was only really amplified by our lack of investment in that transfer window. He wasn't a bad player to nab on a free. Dyer - cunt with some upside. He's obviously gone through quite a bit over the years for which I do sympathise but he never really helped himself. I know it involved football inflation but couldn't believe we made a profit on him. Souness - irredeemable cunt who I've always believed could fuck you up if he wanted. However, has he ever actually acted on one of his threats? Didn't he threaten Dyer really early in his stint with us after having to pick him up from the police station? And then was seemingly easygoing on this incident? Shepherd - most definitely the wrong thread for it, but genuine question, what did he do for us of benefit as a club? I'm not trying to be a dick, either, I think I was just too young/disinterested in the board-level goings on. He became chairman in 1997.. Ironically the point we started slipping outside of finally nabbing Sir Bobby. As far as his managerial decisions I don't think a single one wasn't reactionary in that decade, was it?

If you're going to continue with offside animations make them more like that. Less of the shitty squiggly lines.

Have Canada kept a single set piece in play?

Okay I'm officially in to this WC. Seems to have ranged from dirt matches to utterly wild but the wildness is more than making up for the dirt. Only just been able to stick volume on during the replay but McCoist's reaction is quality.

I certainly haven't cared enough to look at the figures but could Man U's commercial growth not be in spite of the Glazers rather than because of it? Like with NUFC, our overall income figures may have looked better than x number of years ago under Ashley but looking at the raw number wouldn't take in to account the fact income football as a whole grew to an insane amount in that time. So rather than it being Ashley/Glazers that built that, they just lucked in to the same, or maybe even smaller, piece of what became by default a bigger pie in general? Not discounting what you're saying, genuinely interested in anything that indicates what the Glazer's did for the profile of the club couldn't have been replicated by people with less money but more brains. But again, too lazy to research/understand it myself.

Does anyone have any idea what it does for the women's team's coffers when they get a turn out like this? Must be a cracking boost especially for a team still a few leagues down the ladder.

You ain't lying. He goes to bust a gut on the wing and Mooy sends it straight in the middle to someone surrounded by three Frenchmen.

What's with this insane amount of added time lark that seems to be occurring every match?
-
Was that him instantly nearly making something happen?

Yes lad! Your time is now.

I know the 'underrated' tag was starting to become almost cliche with Giroud but I'm shocked that's put him joint top scorer in France's history. Fair play.

Ah well all hope gone. Throw that game changer Kuol on. I heard he's alright.

Awful decision from Ryan, there.

I still don't believe he's injured even while Deschamps fights to get a sub on. Was happily watching the ball fly in before crumpling.

I'd say it was a a fun half of football tbf. No goals but been quite open, Denmark unsurprisingly with more of the ball but looking fairly vulnerable when Tunisia can get on the break.

Do love a stat like that. Been an entertaining first half, this.

With the way it's gone so far I wonder if anywhere would offer odds on Qatar just cancelling the rest of the tournament in a huff once they crash out of the group stages.

Don't know about everyone else but a pinpoint accurate long ball from a CB is one of the most satisfying things to watch in football for me.
