  1. They can have a live sex show celebration in the centre circle for their 12th anniversary for all I care, providing we're in Europe.

Opinions on Manquillo feel very much based on recency bias which I think is harsh as his bad performances toward the end of last season was after a fairly lengthy injury layoff, wasn't it? Until he proved otherwise we were terrified of having to rely on Krafth. Although I guess there must be something Howe is seeing that he doesn't like considering Manquillo isn't getting a look in so far this season. I think the only position we could realistically improve without putting too many noses out of joint is CM to go in alongside Bruno and Big Jo. I don't think it would be unfair to tell Shelvey/Willock/Longstaff they need to prove they're worthy of the first team. But I don't think Howe sees it that way and will be looking to get Shelvey back in there when fit. Aside from that I wouldn't be averse to a LB upgrade purely on an ability basis if Targett isn't the long term 'one' for Howe, but I don't think it's worth risking squad harmony and balance at this point for it. Mad that I can't see an immediate upgrade I desperately want to happen.
  3. Southgate looking awkward as hell there.

I'll hedge my bets and hope for a draw but won't cry over a West Ham win.
  5. It's amazing just how much of our play revolves around a right back tbh. Sometimes it's extremely noticeable when it's not clicking. The first half today felt like a previous recent match where we didn't seem to know exactly what we were trying to do and how, and it kept going back to him to work it out which, in fairness, he almost did a few times with some cracking balls wherever he could. Then that second half came, the rest of the team caught up to him and that's when you really see how outrageous his playmaking ability can be. I knew he had a cracking delivery in general but I didn't realise just how great his general footballing IQ is; it's up there with the best.
  6. Seeing this post is the first time this weekend that I remembered Coutinho plays for them.
  7. I thought it did too. Kept a keen eye on the replays on the river I was watching but commentary didn't mention it at all so thought I was mistaken.

Quote impressive to manage jumping from denial to bargaining in the space of one post.
  9. I fucking love this guy. I did anyway in spite of his faults. But what a season he's having so far. Even after the goal, that energy. 4-0 up, 84th minute and you see him charge back to snatch the ball in our half before busting a gut to win a corner in barely 10 seconds. The guy just doesn't stop.
  10. He's had his ups and downs, seems very much a player who can do a job when coached by someone who genuinely coaches and for that reason I'm more than happy to see how much more he can progress under Howe. Maybe it's not too late.
  11. Some of the pictures coming out of matchdays at the moment. Feels like there'll be more than a few that we see for years to come in retrospectives.
  12. Imagine feeling the need to delete after. Just own the fact you're a fan and believed in your side. Who would've thought he was an absolute wimp on top of being a grade A dipshit.

    Joelinton

No better time for a shift like that. Must've gotten him noticed.

Fourth is minimum objective now. Fifth may be acceptable. P.s. @Optimistic Nut DO THE MATH DO THE MATH. (don't worry I won't tag you every matchday.. maybe)
  15. From that dire first half from all involved to that absolutely ludicrous second half. Time to rest before I shine my knob raw to MOTD later.
  16. Apparently our money can't buy asthma. Classic genius Klopp, always one step ahead to beat the sovereign states.
  17. 'Maybe if he'd been on the pitch a bit longer..' He still would've missed, m8.
  18. Re the 6 subs, I think it's because Villa used a 'concussion sub' for Martinez, which is an extra sub they're allowed to make on top of the standard five. To make things even that then gives us an extra sub too that we've utilised. EDIT: Yeah. What the 50 people before me said.
  19. What a fucking arduous half of football. Sloppy from us, frustrating from Villa and the ref. The goal satisfyingly coming during that ridiculous amount of injury time. Late offsides need to fuck off already. Everyone knows he's offside, why waste everyone's time?
  20. Nice quotes and always seemed like a good egg. But my God the non-quote portion of that article is awful. Why is every bit of it written in the present tense? Reads like it went through a translator.
  21. So many tweets I honestly cant be arsed to find what triggered our fans. Miguel Delaney is still a cunt. Probably was something innocuous but he's just a more eloquent Edwards to me at this point. You keep baiting our fans, they'll jump on the slightest thing in future.
  22. Football expert? More like football noncepert. EDIT: Wait a minute. How many pages back was that Auclair clip I'm on now replying to?
  23. Look at that grin. I want to say he knows what he's doing.
  24. Don't think there's any better pedigree of manager out there for them right now so fair play on going for it. Be interested to see how he does. No hard feelings over him not taking us on as there's no way we'd be feeling about him, how we feel about Howe so I've no feelings of what might've been. I still struggle to muster any genuine dislike toward Villa so best of luck to them now Stevie Geeeeee's gone.
