Mad realising how long ago it actually was. Always felt like I was much older than the two girls murdered but was only a two year difference.

I'm sure this topic has been overdone but it's crazy how good a shot stopper he is with his feet. Love it.

22 years old. Love this guy.
  4. The man just knows his stuff and clearly works hard to improve himself. This guy's biggest weakness before returning to management was defence. He is now managing the statistically best defence in the entire league. He obviously looks back at what went wrong and rather than ignoring or passing the buck, clearly takes it on board. Hes the anti-PFM. Doesn't ever rest on his laurels and for that reason I genuinely think he can take us as far as the club will let him in the coming years. If he doesn't win a trophy with us I'll be devastated.
  5. This guy got freedom of the city yet?
  6. Those boos are music to my ears. What a half of football.

5th or 6th 'acceptable'. I'd love it and I hope we can stay in the mix to finish higher but to say 7th would already be disappointing is mad. We'd need every possible star to align to start overtaking any of those clubs already.
  8. Has Vieira's work so far even been overrated? Maybe I don't keep up with analysis enough but I feel like I read double the amount of people saying he's overrated on this forum alone than I hear elsewhere that he's doing some fantastic job.
  9. Keane hasn't ripped in to Ronaldo? Fucking hell. Let's play him leaving the bench again but CGI Pogba in his place and get his real feelings on the matter.

It is a little sad that for a man who seemed to revel in the kind of adulation we have/would give him (not in a bad way, and I was 7 when his first management stint ended so happy to be corrected), he seems very hesitant to have the slightest involvement now. I guess it's a case of once bitten twice shy and I can't blame him.
  11. Imagine him being put in the spot about his formations. He'd have last night's kebab dribbling down the inside of his trackies in terror.
  12. I always worry that it sounds very 'jobs for the boys'ish but I hope we can find a role for him post-playing days. His confidence in joining this club truly was the catalyst for this turnaround as far as on-pitch goes. Such an immense character.
  13. I like it. Probably helps that it happened to be two of (seemingly) the most amiable managers in the league. Imagine Bruce in one of these exchanges.

I'm still not expecting it; anything could happen and I'm not 100% confident until we stop having two or three starters out every damn week. BUT.. I don't think it can be understated just how big being best of the rest could be in our first full season under this ownership and Howe. An immediate, extremely noticeable impact that could lure a few names in that otherwise would've waited a year or two. The sky could be the limit a lot faster than I originally hoped.

    @Optimistic Nut DO THE MATH.
  16. Congratulations to Fat Frankie's Everton. Tonight's narrow winners of the passing. GET IN.
  17. Ah okay so just another four minutes to inevitably get added to the six for this clash.
  18. It should seriously be illegal to be as ugly a fuck as Gordon.
  19. Studs to the ankle a yellow card now. It always makes sense. Must be something about the scouse mackem kit. Never given a shit about Tarkowski before but his grin riles me to fuck all of sudden.
  20. One attempt off target. Mad how shaky I'm feeling. Fuck it's going to take years to acclimatise to trusting my team. Still waiting for that equaliser.
  21. Commentary on Schar driving forward.. "you don't expect to see it from that player".. Tell me you don't watch NUFC without telling you don't watch NUFC.
