Absolute madness we're talking about getting out of the bottom three if we manage just our second win in 20 matches.
-
Right so we've 2 hours and 45 minutes. If we don't have a new CB registered by midday I'm 10 on the Relegationometer.

I believed the debt theory once but after almost 15 years of Ashley's shit I think it gives him too much credit in giving a justification for the decision. I think it just about falls in line with all his other dim-witted decisions surrounding the club where his ear was taken by wide boys and chancers. Hiring Kinnear twice. Allowing near-relegation under Carver whilst determinedly holding out for McClaren. Bruce over Rafa. It would be peak Ashley if he met Pardew at a casino but then Pardew just took that chance to feed the drunken idiot some guff he liked the sound of at a time where Hughton was already supporting player empowerment and gathering his own support just a little too much for Ashley's liking.

Think I saw someone on here mention how Wood with ASM and Miggy/Fraser supporting could become another Rondon with Ayoze and Miggy supporting and I'm buying in to that more and more. If the players buy in and it becomes even a lite version of that then you'd like to think it'll see us through this season.

Par for the course that Rafa falls out with a player or two. Unfortunately it's arguably their best player on this occasion. Who was his biggest foe here? Colback?
-
I'm petty enough that I'd be eating up a dig like that if it was the other way round tbf.
-
Didn't realise he was Burnley's player of the year and player's player of the year last season. Hopefully he finds his goal scoring form in the second half the season.
-
Sorry, was just making idle chit chat before I bother to do any work. As you were, buddy.

If it makes you feel any better, considering the kind of wealth needed to own a football club at a reasonable level I'd guess that would go for the majority.
-
Sounds ripe for a nice meeting in the middle at £30m to me. Easy!
-
The only thing scarier than wannabe ITKs is that there's people out there who consider said wannabes worth the time and effort of trawling through literally tens of thousands of tweets to find the dodgy ones so they can 'out' them. Absolute dangers, the lot of them.

Like fuck am I going to properly watch it but from the few seconds I skipped ahead to Downie looks like he's near-instantly regretting agreeing to that interview.
-
Get in. I'm all for the premium if it's pissing off our rivals. Burn every bridge. Fuck them.
-
£20m for Wood. I really have lost track of the modern day transfer market. Ultimately we need bodies. Considering the reaction on here I'm just hopeful he becomes a Sibierski/Lovenkrands/Murphy kind of cult figure for 6-18 months. Anything better than that? Cracking.

I'm definitely getting Anderson and Sorensen mixed up as well then.
-
Seems to have quite a few of them.
-
I'm all for giving Anderson a shot if it means not taking big Joe out of midfield.

Glad I'm not the odd one out anymore. Used to infuriate me when mates would ask why I dislike Klopp. Mad how much of a love-in he managed cultivate off the back off a few cherry-picked viral clips before England was subjected to him on a weekly basis.
-
Incredibly harsh on 'internet drama' to lump the above shite in with it.
-
Surely that titbit alone must terrify fans of Derby or any other clubs in his eyeline? Don't expect improvement to a Premier League level, don't expect him to seek out knowledge of people who know what they're doing, and if you see through it all expect him to pick up his ball and cry all the way home like a little bitch to spite you.
-
Annoying mostly as I feel like they must have given some indication that they had their price for us to have spent this much time and effort on him. As said before, seems they've just taken us for a ride for a laugh. I know it won't help us for the next few games but depending on who else we manage to sign in the meantime, it could be worth heading back to them at the deadline to see if they'd be open to a last minute windfall before they have to wait until the summer.
-
Sounds about par for the course with him. May be cherry picking but it seems like most of his disputes end up being over some sort of relationship breakdown between him and an individual(s).
-
Is it going to be 5-10m by the time they agree, though? I know it's all hearsay and I may not be keeping track/converting £ & € very well, I feel like we've hit or come close to multiple asking prices already yet suddenly the price is always just that bit higher?

If that has any merit at all then just walk away and move to next on the list, however underwhelming that may now be.
