Splash the cash and bring him home.

He'll probably be dropped in no time if he joins us.

The club should agree a bumper sponsorship that falls way out of the PL's defined 'range' and when pulled up on it, ask whether they thought the surplus equals fair value for the decade of Sports Direct advertisements. Professional? No. Petty? Yes. I guess that's why I'm not a businessman.

Each sentence got better and better. Fair play though, given the .5 wiggle room for survival.

My thoughts on the move come entirely down to how much they intend to spend this January. If this takes away from strengthening the spine of the team, particularly CM, then I'd rather not. But as long as it's not hampering any other intended moves I'd be elated with Trippier for £25m.
-
Obviously twats whoever they are but come on, Shambles Travel ffs.
-
I think you're giving them too much credit by implying they have a coherent plan for what they're doing. These are desperate pushes to find anyway to impede the club.
-
If he's gained some self awareness and is doing this on purpose I might regain the tiniest ounce of respect for him.
-
I've no idea who that account is but why would it come out 'in the next day or two'? How often do January transfers get not just agreed, but leaked 2 weeks early? Somehow never knew Trippier was a Man City youth product.

Not had a lot of time for him since he became just another club lacky and the kind of captain he railed against in the relegation season and that remains the case. That being said, I'm pleased for his mental wellbeing he's fucked the Twitter cesspit off sharpish after yesterday. Doesn't deserve whatever I imagine is being spewed on there. I know all fanbases have their fair share, especially on Twitter, but we really do seem to have a shocking set of fans infesting that platform.

This. It's so annoying because the steadier hand who's stuck on the bench should see an improvement to whoever he's paired with, Lascelles or Schar. As it is it's the blind leading the blind. Although I like Fab for his attacking threat, I'd readily see him replaced long term. But that attacking threat means short term, Lascelles is the one that should be dropped for Fede and I think why people are keeping a bit quieter over Schar's shortcomings.

I'm changing my relegationometer from 5 to 10 purely because we're playing against a 12th cunt every fucking week.
-
Fucking hell.

I think what winds me up more than anything is the only reason I know of him is because everyone keeps hate-posting him on here.
-
I know I shouldn't be giving him any more thought but I do wonder what Ashley thinks when he sees everyone rejoicing at simple moments like this, where simply tearing down memories of him via his tatty signs fills an entire City's day with satisfaction. I like to think it's eating away at his thin skin.

https://www.business-live.co.uk/commercial-property/newcastle-developer-high-street-group-22375647 Seems they're looking to complete projects still. Fingers crossed the SJP land isn't far enough down the road to be a part of that.

@ManDoon's feelings seem a bit stronger than mine over it so may be better placed to answer this. But I seem to recall he became quite the licker of Ashley's hoop at one point, and I think there were soundbites defending more than one of the shite managers we've had since he left the club.

Didn't word it too well; I wouldn't even put him in the cult hero bracket myself. Was just trying to talk down the mentalism of icon.
-
I think it's fair enough that there's differing degrees of Legend for Shearer and KK to both fall within it, especially when this is getting discussed by people who grew up at different times with different heroes. Did someone say Nolan is an icon, though? I feel like cult hero more than suffices there.

Can't deny it was highly amusing, particularly managing to shoehorn Hitler in.
-
Jesus. If we're relying on Everton going down to save our skins we might as well just forfeit the rest of the season and start prepping for the Championship.
-
All I want is for them to not replace the particularly tacky shite coming off the East and Gallowgate stands. Even the standard hoardings around the stadium will look a ton better purely by virtue of (presumably) having some variety and not just being an SD.com sensory overload. And for the love of God the 'Newcastle United' font needs changing, yes.

Until we start falling behind thanks to the upcoming terrible run, I'll stick with my 5.
