Fingers crossed by the time we do finally get Jose we'll have Rafa in the DoF hotseat by then to ensure absolutely nothing goes wrong and everyone works together harmoniously.

Their striker seems quite good. Hope Eddie has done his homework and has a plan on how to shackle him.

New here, pal?

Just discovered that Ange is the oldest manager in the league at 59 years old. Never would've guessed that.
-
Well you tried, you utter little bitch. And that's all you can do.

This ref is fucking cucked. Absolute pussy.
-
This ref gonna stop having a little chat with their lovely little boys and finally punish them?

Using initials for players with Vs and Ds in their name. VDV will always be van de Vaart. Van de ven can piss off. I still don't even accept Van Dyk as VVD.

If you go in to the individual tickets then hit the three dots top right, the bottom of the resulting menu should include an option to archive or delete it.

God damnit why do I want this.

Of all of our issues you think sacrificing Trips and keeping Elliot Anderson would've made a difference?
-
I heard Tosin asked us to beat Chelsea's offer by just £1 and Eddie forcibly restrained Paul Mitchell with handcuffs. I believe witnesses called it worrying.
-
Exactly. Any fans booing the performance yesterday has the right to do so, as much as other fans have the right to state how fucking dumb said booing is. I believe they call that the circle of life or something.

Yup. Which I think is why expectation is going to knock our atmosphere more than the average club. You can feel the tension so often when we're not either slaughtering the opposition or feeling aggrieved about something. Not to get all Pards-like but I do think that has a knock-on effect on the players. You can feel the nervousness. And then when the groans start coming.. Those groans aren't from the 'day trippers', are they? But I would also agree thay the general state of things is massively overplayed. For better or worse, that's just football now. Seems most clubs' fans are pining for the good old days when it comes to atmosphere.

It couldn't have summed up the double header of a weekend I was in for more. I was instantly fuming from kick off.

Gonna regret poking my head in here but I'm surprised anyone would continue with the 'new members' argument for shit atmosphere. I'm not a frequent attender due to distance but I'd been to more than enough matches with shit atmosphere before the takeover and ticketing changes. Feels like proper revisionism just for the sake of continuing to complain about the changes. Havent they reduced the member allocation substantially to allow for more general sale this season? Why has that not helped if all these diehards are waiting to snap them up when the 10am queue opens? A not-insignificant number of our fans have had a habit of only reacting to what was happening on the pitch for a while imo. Hell, I know it's entirely anecdotal but I still get PTSD from the old fuck I was sat next to for the Benfica second leg who started whinging 'I hate that; sing when you're winning' when the crowd tried to drum up a pre-match atmosphere. nearly 15 fucking years ago and it still rankles me. I'd immediately assumed post-takeover it would only get worse as expectations rise and people feel that we 'should' be getting points over certain teams that we're clearly not that far ahead of yet.
-
Not exactly the same but didn't similar happen under Sir Bobby where the format changed the season after we got in the CL? Battled our way through the first group stage only to end up in a second group stage in what was the last season before that was scrapped?

Before I start the returns process, anyone interested in a large track jacket if it makes it cheaper for you? As I'll take what I paid of £76.50 (the member discount price) plus cost of your choice of postage method (not local). All in its packaging still, not even tried it on as I bought a medium too that I was shocked to discover fits.

It's almost like different people will have different opinions about different things, isn't it? You can look back at my post history. I've given Eddie the benefit of the doubt pretty much every where other than personally wanting to see Hall given a chance sooner last season. Pretty sure Ian is one of the more traditionally optimistic on this forum. He was the sole survivor of the Alan Pardew fan club ffs. Getting on someone's back for daring to suggest we haven't looked as cohesive as we know we can be is just as far off the other deep end as people 'moaning their tits off'. I should know because the general level of moaning went off the deep end to the point I couldn't be fucked with this place all summer. And it looks like I'll probably get back to that after one match of daring to stick my nose back in. Cheerio.

Rod, mate. You don't always need to take offence to a less-than-positive comment. We're literally third bottom in team passes so far this season. https://www.premierleague.com/stats/top/clubs/total_pass It's okay to be delighted with the start of the season whilst still thinking about how we can hopefully build on that with more convincing performances.

The captaincy aspect really isn't that perplexing. If Tino is being given a chance to run with it we quite literally need a captain in the match day XI. Trippier was only ever officially a vice captain due to Lascelles, as is Bruno now as far as I'm aware. We don't lose anything by Trips not having the armband when he's on the pitch. He's a natural leader. Bruno might need some time to grow in to the role but it's one further thing that links him to the club and hopefully makes it harder for him to bail if one of the usual suspects come knocking for him.

He has to start. Cold as ice, this guy.

Fucking hell we're winning the domestic treble.
