Fucking hell putting all our second string out. Is he trying to throw this game?
-
Yes you're completely right. If Odysseas is a £30m keeper then Dubs must be worth £40m.
-
Is this an impressive result BTW? Wouldn't have imagined us getting the better of Chelsea's youth, even if I assume their best of the best are out on loan elsewhere.

We need leaders, Mike.

Doesn't even get the captaincy playing with a bunch of kids? Makes you wonder.

Love that it looks like he kept it on for the whole session.

And Eddie admits he simply wouldn't take a job if he can't round up at least the core of his trusted men. Just looks like their SPL run was an aligning of stars considering they've reunited in Saudi and not exactly set the league alight. I don't blame Villa for taking the punt at the time as you're only going to know for certain if the SPL success would translate by giving them a shot. But I'll laugh hysterically at whatever club in the top two tiers inevitably gives Gerrard another shot when he's back from Saudi.

I've had nightmares revolving around some suggestions of him returning against Bromley. Feels like the exact type of game he'll get done in by someone trying to make a name for themselves.

Tbf Sky put a package together about why it's a rivalry in the pre-match build up. Didn't care enough to pay attention to it, but they did one. And we wonder why they then just devote all the build up time to the cartel 6.

Not one for wanting Palace to do well this season but anything that keeps the race for Europe tight is fine by me.
-
From what I've heard of their performance today it might still be that he just didn't do his homework. Maybe he just popped over to ask why he didn't play?

I haven't been able to catch a replay of the match yet but watching the goals it's so satisfying to watch AG make use of him. It's been a bit frustrating at times seeing him make a good run and get ignored by someone favouring to just cut inside or pass to someone a less threatening position. Hopefully this is the realisation of how far he could go in replacing Trips's attacking contribution.

I'm sure I've said before but I think that they're going to be a massively complimentary pairing for us and England long term. Tino offering the defensive steel while Hall goes forward, but neither being a big liability going the other way so they can swap that role from time to time to keep opponents on their toes. The way Hall plays he's going to get the plaudits but I hope it doesn't lead people to think Tino is a disappointment by comparison as he's still on course to be a fantastic player, just in a different mould.

I'd completely forgotten they'd signed him tbh

It's a tedious given that as soon as a player isn't performing to the level we expect/know they can reach that their desire or character has to be brought in to question. As if the sporting world has never seen athletes made of glass before or something.

Tbf considering our medical track record they might still be trying to work out the difference between his knee and his neck.
-
Get him back in a hybrid Head Coach-DoF role. Alternate head coach yearly with Eddie and then be DoF on his 'off' season. Get Little Dan back at the centre of the wheel to alternate with Rafa when he's on his coaching season. Couldn't be simpler.
-
Feed him his favourite food, too. That new diet be damned.
-
Something tells me with a 'knee ligament injury' that he ain't gonna be be back in a month.
-
I feel like someone at the club has made that comment every few weeks for a year now.
-
Bring him home.

Well that settles it. Howe Out. This man defended Bruce ffs.
