Even when he had no end product you could see the makings of a player. He was always getting himself in to quality positions to slot the ball away or assist someone else. He'd just knack it up nine times out of ten. Whatever Eddie has done to get that end product out of him, it's fucking worked.

Just evidence of his creativity tbh. Can't wait for him to put it to good use when he returns to the pitch.

Considering Howe already used him on Saturday I don't see why not unless Uefa step in. I think if available he'd only come off the bench though. Even ignoring reports though (Italian journalism seems an absolute shitshow), I can't shake the feeling a decision will be reached before then. His post-match demeanor was very much one of a man expecting to learn his fate before he gets the chance at another run out.

I honestly don't think you can quantify it tbh. I don't think he'd look nearly as impressive at many other clubs because he's unlikely to be entrusted with driving the whole team forward (from right back ffs ridiculous). He'd almost be wasted to an extent. Similarly, we could go and blow an entire summer's budget on some of the above named that may in theory be 'better' but they wouldn't offer half of what he does in the on- and off-pitch leadership role. He really is irreplaceable.
