  1. the kid I sit next to said he had read that keegan [had] said that he wasn't premiership quality and couldn't play in the top league.... [watching] motd we were shit!!! also, on bbc news, the bloke with the flag saying "wobblyeyes wise" was saying that he wasn't going in and he was boycotting the game -- he sat behind me from 10 minutes into the game! if [you're] gonna do a boycott, actually [go through with] it... Just like all the people saying "I'm not giving him anymore money!" buying pints and pies at half time... terrible.....

    "Cockney Mafia Out"

P.S. That's not at all to say that the banner was responsible for the second goal, or even the change in performance. All I'm saying is that it's hardly mind-blowing to think that the players wouldn't have been at least slightly impacted by it -- it had enough impact on the tv directors, the media, the fans in the ground, and the fans on here to suggest that they probably would have been...

    "Cockney Mafia Out"

To be honest, I can see where indi is coming from. It's just as "potentially nuts" to think that the players were completely oblivious to what was going on, and weren't at least somewhat distracted by both it and the sudden change of atmosphere around the ground. They're not robots...

That bit was slightly ironic, to be fair... You're all as bad as each other. The in-fighting amongst fans makes us look just as bad as the club, albeit on a smaller scale.
  5. One of the stories circulating was that Keegan was enraged when told by Wise that the Schweinsteiger transfer didn't happen because Tony Jimenez didn't want to sign him. Which seems like a reasonable response. So I think it might be true, It's not.

Decky, don't post PMs on the forum please.
  8. I saw you were creating a poll on the "who's online" list -- you have no idea how intrigued I was My answer is no, as it has been since he resigned. We need to learn from the past, not continuously dig it up. The club need to stick to their guns; if they genuinely believe their "system" will be benefitial, they need to have the balls to step up and prove it.
  9. Really wasn't expecting anything else today; it was just the inevitable icing on one of the finest anti-newcastle cakes ever baked. All the keegan stuff was just preamble to the punch. On the positive, I thought Xisco showed promise - finishing wasn't always great, but at least he got into the positions, and he certainly has fight in him. Gonzales looked pretty decent when he came on too. Looks quite strong, and his passing was intelligent.
  10. They talked for a while over dinner, shared some long, lustfull gazes, then kissed and made up before fucking each other silly in a hot steamy gay romp. Is that what you wanted to hear?
  11. Seems identical to the owen contract scenario to me. Make the meeting public, don't give him what he wants, release a statement saying "well look, we tried..."
  12. These threads always remind me of GHoeberX and his soft-spot for whoever Patrick Kluivert was playing for at the time... And by soft-spot I mean "errection."
  13. His forum consciousness runs seven days faster than everybody else's so that he can effectively purge idiots and edit thread titles before the rest of us even knew they existed.
  14. 15 days? Have I time-travelled?
  15. Slightly dreading this match. I just want to watch a game of football without the inevitable theatrics...
  16. That was Mort and co. doing the searching then though... Different board, different circumstances, different criteria.

    Hull...Protest?

What are you implying when you say "more imaginative?"
  18. I'll be very surprised if it isn't a latino manager with Poyet acting as his number two.
  19. I would trust the majority of our moronic fans with the club as much as I trust Mike Ashley with it. At least the latter has money.
  20. I'm think you don't know what you're talking about. No it doesn't
  21. I'd rather think they were busy searching for a new manager, as opposed to being busy thinking of bullshit to feed the fans.
