    Shola Ameobi

Made the goal again today. I know he won't be credited with the assist, but Gouff wouldn't have had that chance without him.
  2. Surely if it's got topspin on it this could happen?

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Dunno where all the Gillespie hating is coming from, he was absolutely mint. Surely Hatem would have replaced Scott Sellars?

It's Souness man, no one else comes anywhere close.
  5. It's got cocaine in it! Cocaine Mrs Doyle? No? No, I mean raisins.
  6. Am I alone in remembering the unbelievable pass that led to the assist for Cisse's goal at Benfica? I know it was completely out of character for him, but also completely awesome.
  7. What was Tiote's long pass success rate? After Cabaye went off he just seemed to enjoy spraying the ball into the stands.
  8. Had an argument with my dad about this today. He says that he is fed up of changing managers so frequently and thinks that we should keep Pardew in favour of 'stability'. He also, probably correctly, said that we'd just end up with someone even worse as Ashley needs a 'yes man'. I obviously think this is mental and that we need a change, but I bet that there are a lot of older fans who have the above mentality.
  9. I like them but I reckon that there should be different lines for runs with and without theball . Maybe dots for one and dashes for the other
  10. genuine question, Do they section alcoholics who are destroying themsleves? Do they only section people who are Risk to others? People are more often sectioned because of a risk to themselves rather than a risk to others. It has to be due to a severe underlying mental health problem though, and alcoholism alone is rarely the reason. Sectioning under the mental health act is used to treat someone against their will, and there's good evidence that it's impossible to treat alcohol addiction without strong motivation from the patient.
  11. I totally don't get this. He placed it inch-perfect into the corner with pace and power. It was an awesome save, and to say that Cissé didn't do awesomely to control that and get such a good shot away is crazy.
  12. He's our Reggie Evans so far. He must run really quietly. How many times has he nicked the ball from a Chelsea player who didn't know he was coming?

    Injured XI

This thread made me read Michael Owen's wikipedia page. At the bottom: Sporting positions: Newcastle United captain 2008–2009 Preceded by Geremi Succeeded by Alan Smith
  14. He can't be playing, I saw the Ranger Rover parked on a double yellow line in front of Nisa in Forest Hall this morning. He must be injured as only people with disabled permits are allowed to do that.

  16. How the hell does Jonas deserve a 4? He was outstanding today defensively, and looked to have regained some of his old dribbling skills.
  17. Films my favourite film has to be the jungle book its an unreal movie. Look for the bare necessities The simple bare necessities Forget about your worries and your strife I mean the bare necessities (amen) Old Mother Nature's recipes That brings the bare necessities of life
