Had an argument with my dad about this today. He says that he is fed up of changing managers so frequently and thinks that we should keep Pardew in favour of 'stability'. He also, probably correctly, said that we'd just end up with someone even worse as Ashley needs a 'yes man'. genuine question, Do they section alcoholics who are destroying themsleves? Do they only section people who are Risk to others? People are more often sectioned because of a risk to themselves rather than a risk to others. It has to be due to a severe underlying mental health problem though, and alcoholism alone is rarely the reason. Sectioning under the mental health act is used to treat someone against their will, and there's good evidence that it's impossible to treat alcohol addiction without strong motivation from the patient.
