Gallowgate End was definitely the Howe hater - and he’s been confirmed as Rafa Facts (I’m pretty sure?) But has he ever been confirmed as alleged paedo Burnsie?

Have to say that’s a better option than contemplating Saudi United competing with Qatari United for the £500m signing of Mbappe on £2m per week...

1) Bein isnt in a trade war. 2) To me that sounds like the opposite of a loophole, it would be a loophole is Bein decided not to broadcast in KSA. There's no way a country can decide to pull out of deal they have no part in and start negotiating their own. First PL take a stand on piracy to protect the rights and then make a complete mockery of the rights by selling them twice to one country? Nope. If the World Trade Org is getting involved, how is the BeIn issue not a trade war? Does the diplomatic and trade (economic) war between the 2 nations not include the Qatari business known as BeIn sports? How is that not a trade war? You realize restricting one nation from doing business in another falls into that category right? What am I missing here? Forgive me for wading in here, but it seems this exchange is emblematic of the problem. What are we missing here? Heaps. Fucking loads of detail and minutiae and interns reading precedents in the wee hours. There a number of incredibly complex issues here, and some of the most expensive lawyers in the world are trying to unravel it. Like, doesn’t MENA only exist for the purposes of commercial arrangements? It’s not a formal alliance like NATO or the EU, right? So whether a country can unilaterally say they can withdraw from a regional broadcasting contract - who fucking knows? Seems like it’s not a simple yes/no. Trying to present this takeover as simple and “why is it taking so long” seems pretty daft to me...

Didn’t he say he wasn’t interested in a permanent transfer? (something along the lines of wanting better?) Happy to think Lazaro no longer feels he’s too good for us

Not at his fittest, but still better than our current Brazilian striking option...

The idea of Bruce managing Cronaldo

Why are we putting any stock in a Lee Ryder story? Hasn’t he been wrong about everything thus far?

The wages Joelinton will be on means NUFC will never get him off the books unless he'd be willing to take a massive wage drop. Only Premier League clubs and the elite of Europe would be able to afford his wages (and none of them would be coming in for Joelinton). I don’t know that it follows we gave him a huge wage just because we paid a huge fee. He could be on something comparatively modest - which would still be a big pay rise for a no-mark Brazilian from mid-table Bundesliga.

Surprised no one has mentioned how easily Bruce’s “plan” unravelled. Seems to me he caught Mourinho on the hop by playing five at the back, and for the first twenty minutes we looked decent. But as soon as Mourinho got hold of his players at the drinks break, told them to get in behind our useless wingbacks, and suddenly we were overrun. Bruce, tactical genius he is, had no response. The only “credit” he can walk away with from 25 minutes onwards was recognising Lazaro should replace Yedlin earlier than might be expected.

I could easily get behind "Steve Bruce is shit" as the fanzine name

I’m guessing this thought was from the Twitter sphere? Jokes aside, it could be the case but I have the feeling this would result in multiple legal proceedings. It also begs the question, why didn’t they just do this before? Because they were waiting for the outcome of the four-year court case before levying penalties against BeIn

it is already getting unpicked. lunacy to give a Qatar company rights to Saudi they have a major beef with. Saudis will get there own tv deal which they will pay a hefty price for. Premier League will use some of that money to compensate Bein Piracy solved as well These contracts and legal docuemtns are what are taking all of the time. It could go either way. PL rejects the deal. Rights remain as a package which are bid up by Qatar Status quo is maintained. Remember. For the PL this is about money but for Qatar this is about power. The thing I’m most certain of is that the PL won’t consider unbundling the rights before this one expires. Aren’t there indications that that’s exactly what’s happening, right now?

Same - if we’re mega rich, I’d rather someone who is going to provide some sort of return for the fee+wages. Eg Coutinho
-
Would be really funny if approval has been given - and we’re in the “money transfer” phase - and the Saudi cancelling BeIn is an extra “fuck you” to Qatar after getting the tick

Absolutely, it just isn’t necessary to hang a kid out to dry like that. Doesn’t matter if he’s demanding 50k pw - just a simple “Nothing to say about Matty’s contract” and that’s it...

Makes me wonder if the racist kid is of Australian heritage - it’s the #1 pejorative against Indigenous Australians and still, shamefully, is heard often. It’s also the brand name for the #1 selling tasty cheese, and we’re such a racist country that we can’t even get that name changed in 2020.

Starts again 9:30am tomorrow. Wonder what CAS will decide. Been overturned don't bother setting ya alarm You reckon? I think they will get 1 year overturned but not 2. Yup Peps came out saying this week he is "confident "and it would of leaked by now, footballs bent as f*** untill we want a takeover Word is they've got off without any ban whatsoever. Apparently decided and all and it'll be announced at 9.30am Confirmed And the fine was reduced from 30m to 10m as well. Is that about a month’s wages for Aguero?
