Well, according to the 2017/18 accounts, WE ALREADY FUCKING HAVE!!! Along with Saivet and Lazaar, amongst others. No doubt when the 19/20 accounts get published in 30 months time, everyone will have forgotten, and their wages (which were written off in an extraordinary piece of accounting chicanery) will quietly be added back onto the wage bill, and who would ask by then, as we try to stay in League One?

Props for actually publishing that Sun story. He could easily have kept mum for his mate’s sake - who gets a fair whack on the way through

Hayden running around with a thought bubble over his head saying "What the fuck am I doing here?"

Amen to that Shambolic defence for the second goal - Rafa's influence might not last long at all...

Steve Wraith Legitimate theory Would explain the standard of"professional writing" in that letter, which was absolutely not drafted by a top law firm. Looks more like a fan's draft sent to lawyers for tidying and released after the top lawyers told them to get to fuck.
-
It's a form letter written because some poor receptionist got called a cunt for being Mike Ashley's bitch once too often. And you know that's how it happened, with some of our fans.
-
It's a weird one - he's been persistently linked with the Toon and no one else for two windows now. There's probably something to the agent relationship angle.

Thank you for your reply. Please ask the lawyers who drafted your response read both the Act, and my initial letter, more closely. You will note that I have not contravened the Act. Please be advised that I will be posting your response to social media to demonstrate the club's attitude to those who use fruity language when expressing their displeasure with Mike Ashley's NUFC. I hope that does not cause him, or you, distress or anxiety.

Is it possible Ashley agreed to Bruce completely oblivious to the possibility of a compensation clause? And went through with it out of stupid pride? I sure hope so
-
Hopefully the one time Ashley splashes big (!) he flops worse than Denilson.
-
He gets kicked to bits and knows how to fall over - Leicester might rival Palace for pens

I was born in NSW and relocated to Victoria before the A-League formed. I followed Sydney as a two fingered salute to all the Victorians I found myself drowning in. Hence the tepid support. Australian football is shite, but my daughter is nine and plays, so I thought I’d try the new club out. I can literally see the lights of the stadium they will use from my house. Very boring really
-
Who is likely to be class under Bruce? No one, that’s who.

https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/jamaal-lascelles-breaks-silence-newcastle-16584880 I know it’s a puff piece, but I was struck by how flat he came across - and that’s on the club TV. Hopefully misery is endemic... EDIT: For those who don't like the Chron page:

Supporting 19 teams. Valid A brand new A-League club is being formed in my home town, starting in October. They have a few ex-Australia internationals and some hotshot kid from Holland. I'm abandoning my tepid support for Sydney FC and throwing myself into the green-and-black stripes (!) of Western United. Fuck the PL, fuck the Toon and hopefully hook into the A-League properly with my daughter.

We're about to find out exactly how valuable Joselu was - every time Sorensen comes on
-
Surely he’ll be forced into a period of “gardening leave” before he could take up an appointment at the Toon? Redfearn for three months until Bruce can be appointed? Perfect!
-
More like “It continues...” Ayoze followed Rafa out the door already, Mo Diame is earning £100,000 per week in Qatar.
-
You want people to express dissent in China, at an event broadcast live on Chinese state media? Where do I sign up?
-
The media won’t give a fuck - Newcastle lose again/relegated again, new teams will come up. One or two “isn’t it a shame” stories would be about all...

It’s entirely conceivable that he can raise the £113 (or whatever) is still “owed” to him via player sales this summer and simply pocket that cash, while replacing the departures with frees and loans. Who knows, it might make him more likely to sell the club And then a new owner will want to buy the club for £100m cheaper because they’ll have to spend an extra £100m on players. Can totally see Ashley agreeing to those terms

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/jul/12/usa-94-football-world-cup Interesting read in The Guardian about the USA 94 World Cup - my first WC as a fan and still one of my favourites.
