  1. Anyone that's played knows you don't go in at that pace at that height unless you're going in with intent to catch the player. Disgusting challenge; he shouldn't play again this season at least.
  2. We could really do with someone like Kone. We're absolutely pathetic going forward, so scared comitting players forward.

I'd like to see Anita back in the team, in the role of picking the ball up off the defence so Cabaye can receive it 10 yards further forwards, with him and Sissoko equivalents. So: Anita Cabaye Sissoko Ben Arfa Cisse Gouffran I don't really like this 4-2-3-1 business. Cabaye is too deep and Cisse is much too isolated.
  4. What happened? Missed it. Punched a kitten.

We look like what we are; a collection of very good players. We scrape by due to their individual ability but there's no cohesion, understanding or variety of tactics. We don't look like we train at all and this is the first time the players have seen each other all week. Those problems are the manager's job.
  6. We're desperately shit in possession. The movement is non existent, no collective pressure, awful pitch sense and positioning, rigid set up making us a doddle to keep out...just shit.
  7. Not just on the evidence of tonight, but we play some disgusting stuff when compared to Spurs.
  8. I reckon Ben Arfa will play depending on the result, if we're losing then he'll risk him, if not he won't get off the bench. (rightly)

I think I'd rather just have the £20m, if I had to choose. Carroll would be about three steps back in terms of cohesion and ability.
  10. Barca's pressing hasn't been as good as it normally is. They're allowing Madrid into their half every time which never happens consistently in a game.
  11. I think Lampard is more of a focal point of a team, rather than someone who keeps things ticking over and offers themselves constantly for a simple ball. There's better and more creative players at Man Utd and Cleverley's the type who'll do the work to get those players into a good position, rather than being that type himself. You need players like that to build a successful team and I think England have lacked those types for a while.
  12. He's one of those types totally opposite to Lampard and Gerrard, where he's a genuine team player and will make a run where he knows he won't get the ball, just to create space for someone else. He seems to just understand the game fully even at a young age, which is why I think Ferguson keeps playing him, even if he doesn't go past players or bang in screamers very often.
  13. Elliot. there's no point in him being brought here if he can't come in and cover in these situations. Harper's leaving soon, we'll get nothing out of playing him.
  14. Think Zenit and Spurs are the ones we'd be best avoiding if we get through. Chelsea will hopefully get drawn in to a battle for an automatic Champions League place, and I can't see their 'megastars' being that motivated for the EL.
