I've got that vibe from Mitchell as well whenever I've heard him speak. Clearly saw the ego barely surpressed behind sales speak. Ultimately that doesn't mean he's bad at the job or anything though.

To me we still lack technique and athleticism in the backline and midfield, for the system Howe wants to play. I think our absolute first XI would be fine, but the drop off in those areas is massive beyond that.

The shape is all wrong at the moment, we're set up to fail and expose our slow backline. Two midfielders always ahead of the ball in possession meaning we struggle to move the ball up the pitch, then when we inevitably lose it there's massive gaps and the opposition has a free run at the defence. Worryingly this has been an issue for a long time now.
