I think it's shit. Mostly due to the fact that clubs are always made to take a chance that unless they bring in a stupid amount of players they can be fucked with a bad set of injuries. And as it closes things just get more desperate and prices and wages go up, that maybe in hindsight were bad moves in the first place. See us and also West Ham recently for proof.
Because that would make the Arsenal defender and Almunia cease to exist, would it? Because an airborne Ameobi would have made Owen less likely to snatch his shot for fear of getting an injury?
Nah.
That's not the point. He got in the way of a shot on target (Toure wouldn't have blocked it). The fact he left it shows that he knew Owen was there, so why didn't do all he could just to throw himself out the way?
Reminds me of Tevez but is obviously bigger physically, works extremely hard and is incredibly strong with also the ability to finish.
They seem to get some quality foreign talent in. Palacios...Valencia..Zaki...Zinedine Kilbane.
Would anyone take Carlton Cole? He's been put up for sale by West Ham I heard, I think he's decent, pretty quick and strong, would be a good 4th option to bring off the bench and start the odd game. Would take him for a few million.
Made sure I kept my eye on him at H/T. Three of them were kicking a ball around on the floor, then suddenly it came to him he flicked it up and tried to do one of those outside of the foot slices to next person but caught it full and booted it into the other half about 100 yards from his intended target. Also went to talk to various people in the Arsenal crowd when I guess he should have been warming up with the others.
Watching Guthrie and Fabregas play against eachother it made me realise how similar they are in style. He held his own against Fabregas and would have totally outshone him if he had someone better next to him who he could pass to, think replacing Butt should be top priority now.
